When Reggie Miller saw how fans reacted to the Warriors when they made their way to China, he was reminded of something. It was hard for him not to flash back to the popularity of Michael Jordan's 1990s Bulls.

"They arrived [in China] at 3, 4 o'clock in the morning and there was one, two thousand people waiting for them at the airport and at their hotel," Miller said during TNT's start-of-season conference call Wednesday. "It reminds me a lot of like when Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls used to travel. It was like the Beatles were coming, and the Warriors have that effect."

But it's how the team has come together — both as players and simply in roster moves — that has made Golden State so special, according to Miller.

"The Warriors — it's almost like a perfect storm," he said. The perfect storm has Curry, Thompson and Green locked up with long-term deals. It has Durant taking less money to keep the team together, which allowed the Warriors to re-sign important pieces such as Andre Iguodala, Shaun Livingston and Javale McGee. It even enabled them to add a player of Nick Young's caliber.

I feel like I'm gushing over them. I wish there was another team that was like that."
