Chelsea line up move for Atletico Madrid star Saul Niguez

Chelsea line up move for Atletico Madrid star Saul Niguez Chelsea are interested in signing Atletico Madrid star Saul Niguez, according to reports in Spain. Antonio Conte is apparently a huge fan of the Spaniard and is willing to pay £71m to bring him to Stamford Bridge at the end of the season, although Atleti are keen to keep him and are likely to reject any offers that fall below his release clause. As is common practice in Spain, the 22-year-old does have a clause in his contract that means any side who pays £134m could sign him and leave Atleti powerless to prevent him leaving, so it remains to be seen if Chelsea are willing to smash their transfer record to sign him. Saul has emerged as one of the brightest stars in La Liga and is being tipped to become one of the next generation of star Spaniards as the former World and European champions look to get back to the top of the international stage and it is no surprise to see him being linked with big clubs like Chelsea.

Manchester United, Arsenal, Barcelona and Inter Milan are among the sides keen on the Dutch central defender, whose current deal is set to run out at the end of the campaign. Stefan De Vrij will sign new Lazio deal, but will release clause at just £22million.

Indeed, he confirmed that the Dutchman is set to sign a new contract with the Rome-based club which will include a €25 million release clause . Here is what he had to say: “The release clause in de Vrij ’s new deal is not only valid for foreign clubs, but for everyone.

Liverpool target and Lazio centre back Stefan De Vrij looks set to sign a new deal with Lazio that will include a €25m release clause.

Italian radio presenter Niccolo Ceccarini has said that Lazio are close to finding an agreement with De Vrij over a new contract.

They were originally demanding that his release clause be higher, but have lowered it to €25m in order to secure a deal.

According to Calcio Mercato, Juventus and Liverpool are both interested in De Vrij.

“On De Vrij, it seems like Lazio may have lowered their demands concerning his release clause. At 25 million euros, an agreement can be found. As for his salary, Lazio will offer him a big salary which would see him become one of the highest paid players in their team if he renews his deal with the club.”

Newcastle target Praet to have €20m summer release clause

Newcastle target Praet to have €20m summer release clause Newcastle’s interest in Sampdoria midfielder Dennis Praet has been well documented over the course of the last few months. The Magpies are claimed to have held a strong desire to sign the Belgian during the summer transfer window, but the Italian side refused to part company with the playmaker. According to Italian news outlet Calciomercato, the former Anderlecht man will be unable to leave the club in January, crushing any hope Newcastle had of landing him in the mid-season transfer window. However, the exclusive report does state rather interestingly that, as of the summer of 2018, Praet will have a €20m release clause in his contract at Sampdoria. If Newcastle are to meet the midfielder’s release clause, they will be free to discuss terms ahead of what would be a relatively big-money move by the club’s financial standards. Praet has been in good form for Sampdoria this season, and has been impressing in Serie A with some industrious performances.

Lazio agree release clause in new contract for Liverpool target Stefan De Vrij . Now however, it appears that a fee has been agreed between the two parties, with the report suggesting that the figure settled on is set to be a compromise in the region of €30m.

Speaking of De Vrij , here is what Niccolo Ceccarini had to say on his situation in an interview with TMW Radio during the "Tribuna Stampa" show (via TuttoJuve): "On De Vrij , it seems like Lazio may have lowered their demands concerning his release clause .

Liverpool are in the market to improve their defence and could see De Vrij as a cheaper alternative to his compatriot Virgil Van Dijk.

The Southampton defender could cost upwards of £60m if they were to make a January move for the Premier League defender.

De Vrij has impressed for Lazio this season, with the Rome-based side sitting fourth in the table.

The 25-year-old has 31 caps for his country, Holland.
