Klose back in contention for trip to Cardiff

Klose back in contention for trip to Cardiff Defender Timm Klose has recovered from his injury against Nottingham Forest and will travel to Cardiff for Norwich City’s Sky Bet Championship fixture on Friday evening, the club have confirmed. The defender was replaced at half-time in the Canaries 1-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest, an injury which kept the Swiss international out of the draw at home to Preston. Klose was also sidelined at the beginning of the season, missing the club’s first seven fixtures. However, Klose, 29, has recovered from the hip injury which kept him out, manager Daniel Farke confirmed in his pre-match press conference and will travel with the squad to Cardiff. “Timm is back. He trained in the last two sessions with us and he hasn’t been out for too long so he’ll be available for tomorrow.” The news will come as a welcome boost to Farke, who is looking to gain the sides first win in seven games when they face high-flying Cardiff, where a win will lift them into the top half of the table, ahead of Saturday’s fixtures.

Cardiff had looked in trouble at halftime following Stiepermann's effort from distance but whatever manager Neil Warnock said in the halftime interval produced a stirring reaction after the break.

Ralls, who also missed a penalty later in the game, levelled from the spot four minutes into the second half after Ivo Pinto was penalised for a shove in the box.

A looping finish from Hoilett then put them ahead with 25 minutes remaining and Bogle finished a cross from close range to wrap up victory on Warnock's 69th birthday, leaving Norwich winless in eight games.

Norwich predicted XI: Nottingham Forest (A) .
Norwich City travel away to face Nottingham Forest at the City Ground on Tuesday night in the Championship. The Canaries are looking to end a run of five matches without a win, after losing four of their last five games in all competitions. Daniel Farke’s men have failed to win since the derby day victory over Ipswich at Portman Road last month – when James Maddison scored the winner. Tom Trybull hobbled off injured against Barnsley at the weekend but is expected to be passed fit for the clash, whilst Nelson Oliveira is still getting back to full fitness. Josh Murphy opened the scoring for Norwich against Barnsley, though they were unable to keep hold of their lead as they were eventually held to a 1-1 draw. With Preston and Cardiff coming up after Forest, Norwich need a strong performance and a positive result.
