Chelsea are poised to beat Manchester United in the race to sign Alex Sandro from Juventus, according to reports. The report also claims that should Chelsea secure Sandro , Manchester United 's chances of signing Danny Rose from Tottenham will increase.

Is Alex Sandro is wanted by Manchester United ? Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri has made no secret of the fact he’d quite like Antonio Conte’s job at Chelsea and speculation is already mounting that the two men might swap roles.

Chelsea’s pursuit of Juventus defender Alex Sandro has been well documented since the summer transfer window.

The Brazilian defender is understood to be keen on departing Turin as he seeks a new challenge, and Chelsea’s interest doesn’t appear to have disintegrated.

However, if they are to make a move for Sandro, they may be faced with intense competition. According to a report from the Daily Record, as cited by Football London, Manchester United also want to sign the former Porto defender.

Chelsea target Sergi Roberto stalls Barcelona contract talks

Chelsea target Sergi Roberto stalls Barcelona contract talks Chelsea are on full alert as Spanish La Liga side Barcelona struggle to agree a contract extension with Spaniard Sergi Roberto, who was linked with the Blues last summer, according to a report on Bleacher Report. The club are keen for Roberto to extend his contract with the club but the player is reportedly hesitating due to his wage demands. The full-back believes that he should be paid more by the club and is, therefore, stalling contract negotiations, which has given Chelsea hope of signing him. The 25-year-old has a £35m release clause in his current deal and Barcelona are desperate to increase it to €400m in the new deal but if he doesn’t agree then Chelsea could easily trigger the clause. Fellow Premier League side Manchester United are also interested in Roberto and could challenge Chelsea to secure his signature. Roberto came through the highly-rated Barcelona academy La Masia and has recently been frustrated by a lack of first-team football. Roberto was linked heavily with a move away from the Nou Camp in the summer but a move didn’t materialise. However, the player is keen to gain first team action and it would be a huge disappointment for Barcelona if he left. Roberto’s versatility means that Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is interested in him.

Along with this, Sandro has experience of playing as a left wing-back, which is sure to be attractive to Chelsea given Antonio Conte’s favoured three at the back systems.

Manchester United are lacking depth in the left-back role, though, and it seems Sandro is on their radar.
