West Brom are reportedly taking a keen interest in Ghana international Edwin Gyasi.

According to reports, as cited by the Nottingham Post, the Baggies are among a host of clubs interested in signing the winger, who has been in good form so far this season.

Gyasi has been plying his trade in Norway with Aalesund and has been one of their star performers. He has netted on seven occasions and has been catching the eye of many English clubs.

The 26-year-old’s good form this season has seen him earn international recognition. He was rewarded with his first international call-up three months ago and has since been a regular for Ghana. Gyasi netted his first international goal against Egypt in November.

However, if West Brom are to land Gyasi, they will face fierce competition. It’s stated in the report that Swansea City are also tracking the wide man, along with Nottingham Forest and Sunderland.

Gyasi has just a year remaining on his deal in Norway.

West Brom still weighing up Slimani move .
West Brom have been linked with Islam Slimani for a long time now. The Algerian international is massively out of favour at Leicester City and is low down in the pecking order when it comes to strikers. Claude Puel’s appointment at the King Power Stadium has made no difference to Slimani’s predicament at the club, and it’s looking increasingly likely that he will depart in the near future. West Brom were touted with a move for Slimani in the summer, yet nothing materialised. However, according to A Bola (via talkSPORT), the Baggies remain interested in landing the powerful forward. The report from the Portuguese news source states that a return to Sporting CP for Slimani could be an option, but the trio of Stoke, West Brom and Watford continue to weigh up a move for the 29-year-old. Goals have been hard to come by for the Baggies this season and it’s likely that Alan Pardew will be keen to bolster his attacking reinforcements in January.
