Spurs ' next two matches against Brighton and Manchester City, however, do come too soon for him. The Londoners have four more matches to play this month, and are also facing a five day period in which they will have to play three matches when January starts. So Wanyama 's return does come as

The last major injured Tottenham player is Victor Wanyama , who hasn’t been seen since the beginning of the season, and it looks like there’s good news there too. Spurs tweeted a photo of Big Vic at Hotspur Way today, and noted that he’s returned to training on a part-time basis.

Victor Wanyama has trained with his Tottenham team-mates for the first time since suffering a knee injury in August.

The 26-year-old Kenya midfielder joined the first part of Monday's session in the snow, as he steps up his recovery following four months on the sidelines.

Wanyama sustained the injury in training ahead of Spurs' win over Burnley August 27. He had played in both of the club's opening Premier League games against Newcastle and Chelsea.

Eric Dier had settled into a midfield role in Wanyama's stead but the England star has been forced to play at centre-back because of an injury to Toby Alderweireld more recently.

Manager Mauricio Pochettino has not settled on a midfield pairing since, playing two or three of either Moussa Sissoko, Mousa Dembele, Harry Winks, Dele Alli or Christian Eriksen, as Spurs took a dip in form.

They secured their first Premier League win in five matches by thrashing Stoke City 5-1 on Saturday, with Winks and Dembele in midfield.

A potential Wanyama return over the Christmas and New Year period would give Spurs a huge boost. He was one of their star performers as they finished runners-up in the Premier League last season.

Chris Paul stars as Houston Rockets march on .

Paul, who has not featured in a losing game so far this season, scored 28 points and made eight assists and seven steals.James Harden added 28 points for the Rockets, currently on their fourth-longest winning run, but he did not live up to his usual shooting ability, making just two of 11 three-pointers.The Spurs could not answer back, however, with LaMarcus Aldridge leading their scoring with 16 points.
