Alex David Pritchard (born 3 May 1993) is an English professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for Premier League club Huddersfield Town. He has represented England at U20 and U21 level.

Pritchard , a former England U21 international, is expected to undergo a Huddersfield medical on Thursday . The 24-year-old has scored eight goals in 43 games for Norwich since an £8m move from Tottenham in 2016.

The midfielder was nursing an injury for the first few months of the season, having picked up a knock in pre-season.

Norwich signed Pritchard in the summer of 2016 from Tottenham for a fee in the region of £8.5m. This deal represents a marginal profit on the 24-year-old.

Norwich City confirmed on Tuesday that striker Cameron Jerome has joined Derby County. Jerome has signed for Derby for a fee in the region of £2m, after almost four years with the Canaries. Alex Pritchard has already been sold this month, with Huddersfield signing the attacking midfielder for £11m last week. Yanic Wildschut has also left Norwich, joining Cardiff City on a loan deal until the end of the season. Jerome now becomes the next player out of the door, after failing to impress for Norwich this season. The striker has scored once in the Championship, with Nelson Oliveira currently preferred ahead of him. Oliveira has seven league goals, though he is currently enduring a dry run of form. Norwich completed the signing of Marcus Edwards on loan from Tottenham earlier this week, as they gear towards a FA Cup Third Round replay against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday.
