Our man of the match: Millwall (H)

Our man of the match: Millwall (H) Norwich City returned to winning ways at home as they beat Millwall 2-1 at Carrow Road on Monday. The Canaries have now picked up seven points from a possible nine as they look to close the gap on the play-off places. Eight points now separates Norwich and sixth-placed Sheffield Wednesday in the Championship table. It was not all cheer for Norwich, though, as they were greeted by a chorus of boos at half-time. Steve Morison scored a volley from 30-yards seconds before the end of the half to put Millwall 1-0 up. Norwich turned it around in the second-half as they produced a superb 45 minutes to win the game. Tom Trybull levelled the scores when he guided a cross from James Maddison into the far corner, his first league goal for Norwich. Maddison then won the game for Norwich with 15 minutes to go as Alex Pritchard slipped him and through and the young Englishman slotted the ball into the bottom corner. Picking a man of the match has been difficult, with so many great performers against Millwall. Jamal Lewis, Alex Pritchard, Josh Murphy and James Maddison all deserve mentions. But our Norwich man of the match against Millwall is… Tom Trybull! The German midfielder scored his first league goal for the club to cap of a superb midfield display. He was constantly on the move looking for the ball and always retained possession. His passing was accurate, quick and forward thinking. Trybull made a number of important interceptions and tackles in midfield to break up play as well, to prove how well rounded he is as a midfielder.

Huddersfield Town have completed the capture of attacking midfielder Alex Pritchard from Norwich City for a reported fee of £14 million.

The 24-year-old had been the subject of interest from Huddersfield for a couple of weeks, with David Wagner seemingly admitting defeat at the start of the month as he rued the cost of English players.

But Wagner has now successfully bolstered his attacking ranks, with Pritchard - who joined Norwich from Tottenham in August 2016 - offering flair and versatility.

The former England Under-21 international is comfortable playing through the middle or on either flank and has notable ability on the ball.

How much is Pritchard worth?

How much is Pritchard worth? How much is Norwich City midfielder Alex Pritchard worth in the current transfer market? Despite sporting director Stuart Webber making it clear that Norwich are under no pressure to sell this month, the club do still need to sell before they can buy. Norwich are in need of reinforcements for the second-half of the season and selling Pritchard could set the club up to do a lot of good business in the window. Many fans believe that a right-back, winger and a striker is still needed before the end of the month, with the club struggling to score goals in the Championship this season. With Cameron Jerome seemingly out in the cold, Nelson Oliveira is the only recognised striker at the club.

"I'm very happy to be able to welcome Alex to Huddersfield Town," Wagner told the club's official website .

"He is exactly the type of player that we like to work with at this club. Alex is a young, British player who arrives as one of the top performers in the Championship and with a desire to prove himself in the Premier League.

"Now we will work hard with him to give him every possibility of being a success for us in the top division."

Pritchard - who is the club's second January signing after the loan acquisition of Terence Kongolo - could make his debut against West Ham on Saturday.

Norwich yet to receive offer for Maddison .
Norwich City are yet to receive a transfer offer for attacking midfielder James Maddison this month. According to The Eastern Daily Press, Maddison has not been the subject of any bids during the transfer window. However, he is being eyed up by a number of Premier League sides ahead of a potential move before the start of next season. Manchester City, Liverpool, Southampton, Tottenham and Leicester are among the top-flight clubs to have been linked with Maddison over the past few weeks. There were reports on Thursday that West Ham had made a £12m offer for Maddison, as reported by The Guardian. The EDP now claim those rumours to be false. West Ham have not bid for Maddison, and Norwich are determined to keep hold of the midfielder. The club have already sold Alex Pritchard to Huddersfield for £11m, which has been able to fund five new signings. Norwich have signed Marcus Edwards, Kenny McLean, Dennis Srbeny, Moritz Leitner and Onel Hernandez during the window.
