Balotelli booked by referee after complaining about racial abuse

Balotelli booked by referee after complaining about racial abuse Former Liverpool and Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli was shown a yellow card after complaining about racist abuse he received from Dijon fans on Saturday, according to the official Twitter account of the Italian’s club side Nice. The 27-year-old was booked in the 74th minute of the game by referee Nicolas Rainville after complaining about the racial abuse he was receiving from sections of the home fans. At first, Balotelli reacted to the abuse by putting his finger to his mouth and shushing the fans giving him abuse, before complaining to the referee. However, rather than do anything about the racist abuse, Rainville booked the Italian.

JOSE MOURINHO has agreed a stunning £80million summer deal for Sergej Milinkovic-Savic. The Manchester United boss is set to make the Lazio midfielder his first mega- signing after a breakthrough in talks last week.

Jozo Šimunović (Croatian pronunciation: [jǒːzo ʃimǔːnoʋitɕ]; born 4 August 1994) is a Bosnian professional footballer who plays as a centre back for Scottish Premiership club Celtic.

Celtic did well to keep hold of their key players during the January transfer window, namely striker Moussa Dembele, but centre-back Jozo Simunovic was also a highly sought-after player last month.

Corriere dello Sport suggested that Serie A side Lazio were interested in signing Simunovic amid fears that their star defender Stefan de Vrij could leave the club, with the likes of Liverpool and Chelsea interested in the centre-back.

With de Vrij rejecting a new contract with the club and poised to become a free agent after this season, Lazio have begun their search for a replacement and they are once again considering a move for Simunovic.

Chelsea eye Real Madrid stars Isco and Asensio

Chelsea eye Real Madrid stars Isco and Asensio Chelsea could land both Marco Asensio and Isco this summer, according to reports in Spain. Diario Gol claims that both Asensio and Isco are interested in moving to the Premier League after falling out of favour under Zinedine Zidane. Madrid have been heavily linked with Thibaut Courtois, with some reports suggesting that the La Liga side could offer players to Chelsea in return as they look to complete a deal. Both Liverpool and Arsenal are also said to be interested in signing Asensio. Isco has also talked up a move to the Premier League in the past, with Alvaro Morata claiming he should join him at Stamford Bridge following his move from Madrid in the summer. Asensio has started just 10 times in La Liga for Madrid this season, scoring four times and registering a further four assists. Isco, on the other hand, has started 14 times in the league, scoring five and assisting four times. Reports in Spain have suggested that there could be some big changes at Madrid this summer as they struggle to keep up with Barcelona in the title race.

Serie A giants Lazio are reportedly not interested in signing Bayern Munich star Arjen Robben this summer , despite reports indicating their interest in signing the Dutchman.

Lazio are the latest club to show interest in the Celtic star, according to Italian reports. The latest Celtic player to be linked with a move away is Jozo Simunovic .

Simunovic recently signed a new contract with Celtic running until 2021 so it’s clear that Brendan Rodgers sees the former Croatia U21 international as a mainstay in his side for the next few years.

Porto defender Diego Reyes is understood to be Lazio’s top target to replace de Vrij but Simunovic is also on their shortlist, but they face an incredibly tough task to persuade Celtic to part ways with one of their most important players.

Liverpool interested in Real Madrid 'keeper Keylor Navas .
Liverpool are reportedly very interested in signing the Real Madrid’s number one goalkeeper, Keylor Navas, according to Football365. Reports in Spain suggest that Florentino Perez wants Navas out of the Santiago Bernabeu next summer, and Merseyside may be where he looks to go. Navas has been pretty much ever-present for Los Blancos this season, as they look to progress into the Champions League quarter-final, albeit domestically sitting 17 points behind leaders and arch-rivals FC Barcelona. It was reported that Arsenal were interested in Navas as a replacement for Petr Cech during the January transfer window, but now the Reds look like his most likely destination. Liverpool have been criticised heavily for defensive performances this season, and the goalkeepers have taken a lot of that criticism. It is reported that Jurgen Klopp is looking to replace Simon Mignolet as Loris Karius looks to be his preferred number one, having played all games bar two since Boxing Day, only losing once with him between the sticks. Simon Mignolet has said in a recent interview (via Football365): “After all that has happened this season, I know where I am at and the situation has become clearer.” “Klopp told me honestly and personally in that conversation. Of course I am absolutely not satisfied with that, but I must always respect a decision of the coach.” So the Belgian may be on his way out of Anfield by the looks of it, and another will goalkeeper will have to be signed, and that may well be Keylor Navas in the next transfer window.
