Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has revealed the reason why he signed for Arsenal in January.

The prolific centre-forward has admitted that Arsene Wenger was behind his move to The Emirates in January.

Aubameyang says that people take the manager for granted, and that Wenger was the reason he opted to make the switch.

Speaking to The Daily Mail, Aubameyang said this:

“I think we take the manager for granted, I am really happy because I am here because of him.”

Aubameyang not happy with Arsenal showing

Aubameyang not happy with Arsenal showing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has claimed that some of his Arsenal teammates looked resigned during the defeat to Manchester City. Arsenal were beaten 3-0 by Manchester City for the second time in a week, and conceded all three goals in the first-half on Thursday. Bernardo Silva, David Silva and Leroy Sane all scored, as Aubameyang missed a second-half penalty. The Gabon striker has yet to score since his debut for the club against Everton, and he missed a spot-kick after Henrikh Mkhitaryan was bundled over in the box. Speaking to The Mirror after the game, Aubameyang has said that maybe a few of his teammates were resigned to the loss. “There is a lot of disappointment. We are not happy with our displays either tonight or Sunday.” “Obviously it is not easy when you cannot score a goal to give us extra energy. There are maybe some players who are a bit resigned.” Arsenal’s club-record signing also missed a good chance to score against Manchester City in the League Cup final last weekend. Aubameyang saw his effort from six-yards out thwarted by a combination of Kyle Walker and Ederson.

French star pleads with Arsenal to sign him this summer .
At the start of the season, Ousmane Dembele swapped Borussia Dortmund for Barcelona and the Frenchman looks like he could be on the move again. Costing the Catalonians £100m, the promising winger has been plagued with injuries and in turn, has failed to live up to to his epic price tag.On debut, the 20-year-old suffered a hamstring injury against Getafe which subsequently ruled him out for four months. After only making just 13 appearances for the league leaders, he is begging for an exit. According to reports, Dembele fancies a reunion in North London with former Dortmund teammate Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang. It’s likely Arsene Wegner (should he be there come the season’s end) will be interested in the Frenchman to directly replace Alexis Sanchez following his departure in January. Dembele, who will be monitored closely by Arsenal in the upcoming World Cup should he make the squad, will be their top target heading into the next Premier League season. Similar to the start of last season where the club went after the winger’s France compatriot Thomas Lemar, with the pursuit being unsuccessful. With two very similar targets over the last two seasons, it’s no question Wenger is looking to strengthen the wing position to assist new signing in Aubameyang and Dembele could be the right fit.
