Chelsea target Bernard discussing Premier League move

Chelsea target Bernard discussing Premier League move Near the end of last year, Chelsea were cited as one of a number of top Premier League clubs to have expressed an interest in Shakhtar Donetsk playmaker Bernard. The Brazilian attacker has been in excellent form for the Ukrainian side throughout the course of the season and his performances have been attracting plenty of interest from elsewhere. Bernard’s long tenure with Shakhtar is set to come to an end when the summer comes around, though. His contract expires in June and he appears to already be staging talks with other clubs. According to Brazilian news outlet Globo Esporte, the attacking midfielder is indeed in talks with clubs from China, Italy and, rather interestingly, England. Chelsea will undoubtedly be keen to add to their squad ahead of next season and on a free transfer, it’d come as no surprise to see them pursue a deal for Bernard. The 25-year-old is yet to play for a Premier League side, but it seems he is pondering a move to England this summer.

Manchester United have confirmed they have agreed a deal with Shakhtar Donetsk to sign the Brazil midfielder Fred . The 25-year-old is expected to cost around £52m and sign a five-year contract.

Although, if Sergei Palkin is to be believed, there is an outside chance that Fred will join Manchester United this summer if City do indeed fail to recruit him.

Fred’s form this season is sure to lead Shakhtar to demanding a huge sum for his services should they choose to sanction a sale. It’s been previously claimed that a fee worth in the region of £50m will be required.

Everton identify their number one choice to replace Allardyce .
According to a report from the Mirror this evening, Everton are planning to sack Sam Allardyce at the end of the season and appoint Paulo Fonseca as their new manager. Speculation has surrounded Allardyce’s future at Goodison Park and it seems Everton’s hierarchy have concluded that he is not the right man to lead the club forward. Sections of the Toffees’ fan-base have grown frustrated with the ex-England boss’ tactics throughout his tenure. Fonseca is enjoying yet another impressive season at the helm of Shakhtar Donetsk, having overseen a strong performance from his team in the Champions League. The promising Portuguese boss has been linked with a move to the Premier League for some time now and it appears as though he will get his big break with Everton. Fonseca’s deal at Shakhtar is understood to expire at the end of the season and if the Mirror’s report is to be believed, he will be heading to Merseyside instead of remaining in Ukraine.
