Werner reveals he'd choose Manchester United over Liverpool RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner has emerged as one of Europe’s most promising strikers in the last two seasons. The 22-year-old has impressed in the Bundesliga and has established himself as a regular in the German national side. He’s been linked with a move to a host of top clubs across Europe, including Liverpool. Werner, as quoted by the Mirror, recently discussed his future plans and outlined his ambition to play in the Premier League one day. He spoke of his admiration for Liverpool and their rivals Manchester United. “Yes, playing in the Premier League is a dream for me. I would like to play for two or three clubs, and Manchester United are one of those clubs. But probably not in the next few years – later, when my English is a little bit better! I’m very comfortable at RB Leipzig, though.” “Manchester United and Liverpool were the teams I watched quite a lot in England. They were the two that I’m a little bit a fan of, because they have so much history. When Alex Ferguson was the coach, United won everything and were outstanding.” The young striker assessed which side he’d choose to sign for if the opportunity ever arose, and it isn’t particularly pleasant reading for the Reds. Werner claimed that he’d prefer to join United over Jurgen Klopp’s men. “In Liverpool it’s also their stadium and the atmosphere. But when I have to decide, I’m more Manchester United than Liverpool. I’m now at a point where at some stage in the future I’d like to play in a team that wins titles.” Werner has netted 16 goals in all competitions this season and is sure to be hot property this summer as clubs line up to land him.

Liverpool boss Klopp on PSG's radar .
PSG are reportedly considering a swoop for Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp this summer. Ligue 1 leaders PSG are said to be ready to sack Unai Emery at the end of the season and are weighing up their options. A number of top managers have been cited by French news outlet Le Parisien, via Goal, and Klopp is noted as one man on PSG’s shortlist. Emery is likely to be shown the exit door following an underwhelming campaign in the Champions League. PSG were knocked out in the round of 16 comprehensively by Real Madrid and it seems he will soon be given his marching orders. Klopp has often reiterated his happiness to be at Liverpool and it does not seem likely that he will walk away from what is an exciting project on Merseyside. However, PSG appear to be admirers of the German tactician, who has enjoyed a good season at the helm of Liverpool.
