West Ham eyeing summer move for Gomes

West Ham eyeing summer move for Gomes West Ham are interested in signing Barcelona midfielder Andre Gomes in the summer. According to The Mirror, West Ham and Tottenham are both keen on snapping up the central midfielder when the transfer window reopens in a few months time. Gomes is expected to head to the World Cup in Russia this summer with Portugal, where he could attract more interest if he is able to impress. West Ham were touted with interest in Gomes during the January window, but signed Joao Mario on loan from Inter Milan instead. Gomes has struggled to make his mark on the first-team at Barcelona and is open to a move to the Premier League. The 24-year-old has played 28 games for Barcelona this season in all competitions, after 47 appearances last season. He has been capped 29 times by his country and was a key part of their European Championships success in 2016. There is no mention of how much Barcelona would want for the Portuguese international.

Liverpool are interested in a summer move for Barcelona ‘keeper Jasper Cillessen, according to reports.

Sport Witness, who cite Mundo Deportivo are reporting that the Reds will face stiff competition from Napoli and Atletico Madrid for the stopper, who is under contract at the Camp Nou until 2021.

Napoli are looking to replace former Reds ‘keeper Pepe Reina, while Atletico could be on the lookout for a replacement for Jan Oblak, who is also reportedly courting interest from Europe’s elite.

Cillessen has very much been back-up to Marc-Andre ter Stegen since his move to the Catalan giants in 2016.

Everton face slew of clubs to sign Brazilian playmaker

Everton face slew of clubs to sign Brazilian playmaker Everton are interested in signing Benfica attacker Anderson Talisca, according to Portuguese outlet Record. The 24-year old Brazilian has been on loan with Besiktas this season and has been impressive, having scored 18 times this campaign, providing five assists. However, they will face a slew of other clubs across the continent to capture Talisca’s signature, with a large number of other potential suitors registering an interest, including: Liverpool, Valencia, Roma, Milan, Marseille and Manchester United. The Toffees are interested in signing top players this summer as they look to undergo a major overhaul, and Talisca would represent a smart acquisition. However, Besiktas have the option to make the move permanent for just €21million, and so sit firmly in the driving seat over the Brazilian’s long-term future.

Liverpool’s goalkeeping struggles have been well documented for a long time now, despite Jurgen Klopp opting to play with Loris Karius in recent times.

He faces competition from Simon Mignolet, who has been at the club since 2013.

If Cillessen does make the move to Anfield, he will certainly be looking for more game time than he’s seeing in Spain at the moment.

Southampton keen on Anthony Limbombe .
Club Brugge striker, Anthony Limbombe has been linked with a move to Southampton following previous links to Championship side Leeds United, according to Belgian news outlet HLN, as translated by Sport Witness. Huddersfield are also interested in the player despite his underwhelming record, which lies at six goals in 49 games since he signed for the club in 2016. A number of clubs in France have expressed a strong interest in the player but it’s thought that the player wouldn’t be interested in making a move to a club that could eventually succumb to relegation ahead of next season. The player’s preference would be a move to Germany but, as of yet, no clubs have apparently shown much of an interest in him from the Bundesliga. Limbombe cost the Belgian side €2m two years ago and the club would be looking to make a profit on him with his talent being noticed by many across Europe.
