Crystal Palace player ratings: Bournemouth (A) Crystal Palace were denied a crucial victory at Bournemouth with Josh King netting late to salvage a point for the Cherries. Palace were on their way to a vital victory before the Norweigan scored, with the Eagles attempt to put some space between them and the bottom three. Roy Hodgson’s side took the lead early in the second half with Luka Milivojevic netting from a free kick. It was the Serbian’s tenth goal of the season for the Palace, the first midfielder to net ten Premier League goals for the Eagles in one season. Mousset equalised for the Cherries, before Wilfried Zaha skilfully netted Palace’s second. Palace looked to be on their way to a vital victory, but Josh King scored late on to dash the Eagles hopes. The result leaves Palace three points away from the drop zone with Southampton yet to play this weekend. The Saints take on Arsenal tomorrow. Here’s how we rated Palace this afternoon.

Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek has revealed that he is yet to make a decision over his future with the club.

The central midfielder is currently on loan to Crystal Palace and has been heavily impressing in the relegation threatened side.

Loftus-Cheek has been one of the standouts in the bottom half of the table, but could still struggle to make an impact when he returns to Chelsea.

There has been recent speculation that he could move to Palace on a permanent deal in the summer, despite having signed a new long-term Chelsea deal at the start of the season.

Speaking to The Independent, Loftus-Cheek said this:

Hodgson interested in permanent Loftus-Cheek move

Hodgson interested in permanent Loftus-Cheek move Roy Hodgson would like the opportunity to discuss the idea of Ruben Loftus-Cheek joining Crystal Palace permanently this summer. According to a report by the Croydon Advertiser, Hodgson has urged the midfielder to at least consider the idea of leaving Chelsea. “For Ruben Loftus-Cheek to consider us seriously as an option, we need to be in the league for the kick off. Let’s keep our priorities right and work hard to stay in this league. Then I’m pretty sure we would be saying to Ruben, is it worth having the conversation with Chelsea, could you consider? Then of course the conversation with Chelsea will come around and we will see from there.” The England international has impressed for Palace in recent weeks, sparking discussion about his future. Loftus-Cheek has been one of the Eagles’ most impressive performers all season but he has seen his campaign derailed through injuries. Since joining the club he has been able to play regularly in the Premier League and as a result, earn his first call-up to the England side. Gareth Southgate is said to be a huge admirer of the player and he could be named in the England squad for this summer’s World Cup squad in Russia. With a new manager likely to be coming in at Stamford Bridge this summer, there could be yet more change at Chelsea that could play a part in Loftus-Cheek deciding his next move.

“I really haven’t thought about what’s going to happen next season.”

“I’ve still got a few games now. I’m focused with Palace. Whatever happens next season, I’m not really looking at that right now. I’ll deal with that when it comes.”

As a result of his regular game-time with Palace, Loftus-Cheek made his senior England debut in November – featuring against Germany.

The 22-year-old has started 17 Premier League matches this season, with injury having prevented more.

Rodgers set to make decision on future of Edouard Odsonne .
As another successful season for Celtic draws to a close, Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers needs to make a decision over loan player Odsonne Edouard. PSG want £7m for the 20-year old striker who joined the Hoops on loan last summer. The striker has scored nine goals in 27 appearances for Celtic this season and has been playing well. It seems to be the figure of £7m that is delaying Rodgers’s decision. The ex-Liverpool manager may have to come to a decision pretty quick as other clubs from around Europe have been showing and interest in him. £7m is a lot of money for Celtic to part with but Rodgers rates him as one of the best young players that he has ever coached. A newspaper in France named Edouard as PSG’s best loan player this season and media attention such as this will only increase the number of clubs interested in the player, so Rodgers needs to act fast.
