Southampton eye up Ranieri move

Southampton eye up Ranieri move Southampton are considering a move to make Claudio Ranieri their next manager. According to France Football, via Sport Witness, Southampton and Everton are both interested in Ranieir. The Saints are considering their options ahead of next season, with a possible relegation to the Championship looming. The club are 18th in the Premier League with five games left to play, and are showing little signs of progress. Mauricio Pellegrino was sacked last month after his poor season at the club, before being replaced by Mark Hughes. Hughes signed a deal until the end of the season and has lost his first two Premier League matches at the club so far. The report claims that Everton and Southampton are both keen on Ranieri and have him on their summer shortlist. Everton look set to replace Sam Allardyce once the season comes to an end after fan unrest with his management of the team.

Inter Milan have reportedly joined the race for Everton target Kwadwo Asamoah, who will be a free agent this summer.

The Liverpool Echo are reporting that Milan have jumped to the front of the the queue for the Ghanaian, despite initial interest from the Toffees.

Asamoah joined Juventus in 2012, but has seen his playing time limited due to extensive injuries and the form of Alex Sandro.

The player can play at left-back or in midfield, and his versatility has reportedly alerted Inter Milan and Udinese, with the former rumoured to have offered him a three year contract worth €3.5m a year.

Inter chase Belgian playmaker and Everton target

Inter chase Belgian playmaker and Everton target Everton face competition from Inter Milan for Sampdoria playmaker Dennis Praet, according to CalcioMercato. The 23-year old Belgian joined the Serie A outfit from Anderlecht in the summer of 2016, and has featured regularly this season in the Italian top flight. CalcioMercato claim that Inter Milan are looking to sign Praet, as well as former Everton target Lucas Torreira, as they look to replicate their success of signing Sampdoria talent, having captured Milan Škriniar last summer. Inter may have an advantage over Everton, with reports suggesting Sampdoria would be willing to do a double swap deal with Inter for players Andrea Pinamonti and Xian Immers, while Everton are unlikely to offer a player in any deal. Praet is just one of many offensively minded midfielders the Toffees have been linked with in recent weeks, following the likes of Yacine Brahimi, Shinji Kagawa and Oğuzhan Özyakup.

Despite having made 23 appearances in all competitions this campaign, Asamoah is expected to leave Turin this summer, and could do so with his sixth Serie A crown, should Juve manage to hold off Napoli in the final few games.

Everton have endured a disappointing campaign this time around, but it is thought Sam Allardyce will be given a significant budget to improve the squad in the summer.

Sky Sports journalist Kaveh Solhekol is now claiming that Everton have joined the list of clubs looking to sign him, with four other Premier League sides interested. Italian giants AC Milan are also keen, providing stern competition for Everton if they make a mouth for the Swansea man. Ki has been a consistent figure in the heart of the Swansea midfield this season, impressing those in power at Everton. Sam Allardyce is expected to leave at the end of the season, which could delay a move for Ki as they weigh up their next boss.
