Fellaini favouring Roma switch

Fellaini favouring Roma switch Marouane Fellaini is reportedly keen to move to Roma when his contract at Manchester United expires. The Belgian international is all but set to depart Old Trafford at the end of the season as his deals nears its expiry date. Fellaini has been linked with a number of clubs but it seems he has his sights firmly set on a move to Italy. Roma have been strongly linked with a move for the ex-Everton man and according to Corriere dello Sport, as cited by the Daily Mail, the midfielder would be keen to play for the Serie A side. Fellaini has been heavily touted with a move to Turkey, as all of Galatasaray, Fenerbahce and Besiktas have been linked. However, a switch to Italy seems likely for the midfielder now. Jose Mourinho remains keen to keep Fellaini at the club but the powerful Belgian is seemingly looking for a new challenge elsewhere. AS Monaco have also been linked with a swoop for the 30-year-old.

Celtic winger Patrick Roberts is the subject of interest to a number of Premier League clubs.

According to Italian outlet Calcio Mercato, several Premier League sides have enquired as to his availability in the summer.

Roberts is on loan to Celtic until the end of the season from Premier League champions Manchester City, and looks set for another loan next season.

However, it does not appear as though he will be at Celtic again after this season.

The Englishman has been on loan to Celtic since last season, but could now look for experience playing in the Premier League – over the Scottish division.

John Hartson thinks James Forrest should starting against Rangers

John Hartson thinks James Forrest should starting against Rangers Former Celtic striker John Hartson has told The Glasgow Evening Times that Brendan Rodgers should select James Forrest to start in Sunday’s Scottish Cup semi-final against Rangers, with Patrick Roberts dropping to the bench to make room for the 26-year-old in the starting XI. Rodgers chose to start Roberts for last weekend’s 2-1 win over Hamilton but Hartson thinks he should chance his mind and go with Forrest for the Glasgow derby. He said: “I would be looking to play James Forrest ahead of Patrick Roberts. Roberts did well against Hamilton and was a bit of a bright spark, but Forrest is the man who has been consistently in great form this season.” Indeed, Forrest has been in good form this season. He’s scored 16 goals in all competitions, including a hat-trick in win over Partick Thistle in the cup. Celtic are aiming to complete a double-treble and local rivals Rangers will be doing all they can to prevent Rodgers’ men from reaching the cup final. Hartson believes that it picking Forrest, not Roberts, will give the Hoops the better chance of winning the game.

Roberts’ contract with Manchester City runs till 2020, and the report claims that he is yet to make a decision over his long-tern future.

Celtic could yet convince him to join the club on a permanent deal, with the promise of regular league, and Champions League, football.

AC Milan and 4 PL clubs also… https://t.co/y0nWwJ4B52 (@SkyKaveh) Ki is out of contract with Swansea in the summer and is not expected to sign an extended deal with the Welsh club, despite them looking likely to retain their Premier League status. Sky Sports journalist Kaveh Solhekol is now claiming that Everton have joined the list of clubs looking to sign him, with four other Premier League sides interested. Italian giants AC Milan are also keen, providing stern competition for Everton if they make a mouth for the Swansea man. Ki has been a consistent figure in the heart of the Swansea midfield this season, impressing those in power at Everton. Sam Allardyce is expected to leave at the end of the season, which could delay a move for Ki as they weigh up their next boss.
