Palace prepared to beat West Ham to Dendoncker

Palace prepared to beat West Ham to Dendoncker Crystal Palace are preparing a summer bid for Anderlecht player Leander Dendoncker. Sport Witness report that they are desperate to beat West Ham to the signing of the 23-year-old. As long as Palace stay in the Premier League, they are expected to bid for the Belgian defensive midfielder. And with Roy Hodgson’s side sitting six points above the relegation zone, safety is almost a certainty. During the January window, Dendoncker was linked with first Everton and then West Ham. The Hammers interest was well followed by Belgian media, but a move failed to materialise. The Eagles were also claimed to have made a bid, with Anderlecht’s general manager saying they put an offer in at the end of the window, making it too late for negotiations to take place. They are now favourites to sign the player in the summer though. HLN, a popular Belgian newspaper, have reported that they would want at least £15 million for the player who is desperate to move to the Premier League. Dendoncker has four caps for the Belgian national team, and has appeared over 100 times for Anderlecht.

Anderlecht are reportedly interested in making Lazar Markovic’s loan deal at the club a permanent move this summer.

According to Belgian journalist Pieter-Jan Calcoen, Anderlecht do not have the option to sign Markovic as part of the loan deal but will attempt to prise him away from Liverpool anyway.

Markovic joined the Brussels based club in January of this year but has only made six appearances, scoring once in a 2-1 defeat at Genk.

A lot was expected of the Serbian when he arrived in Merseyside from Benfica in a 2014 deal worth £20m.

The winger made 34 appearances in his first season at Anfield, but has since struggled to get a look in at the club.

Anderlecht are Markovic’s fourth loan club since he’s beeon on the books of the Reds, having previously spent time with Fenerbache, Sporting Lisbon and Hull City.

It seems clear the 24-year-old doesn’t have a future under Jurgen Klopp and will be keen to move on this summer for the good of his career.

Arsenal forward set for another season away from the Emirates .
Arsenal forward Takuma Asano is set to return to the Bundesliga by joining Hannover 96 on loan, having spent the last two seasons with Stuttgart. The Gunners signed the Japan international from Sanfrecce Hiroshima for £2million in 2016, but he hasn’t yet played for the London club, having been loaned out immediately to Germany. Twice Asano was denied a loan permit in the summer of 2016 and 2017, and now Arsenal are prepared to sanction another loan spell, according to the Evening Standard. The 23-year old has only got five goals in 45 appearances for Stuttgart, and his poor form saw him not play a single minute in the second half of the season in the campaign just gone. Still, Hannover are still keen on signing the striker, which was confirmed by the club’s president, Martin Kind, who said; “We will loan him for a year. The sporting hierarchy have positive judgements over him.
