Foster urges Baggies to give Moore the job permanently

Foster urges Baggies to give Moore the job permanently Ben Foster wants West Brom caretaker manager Darren Moore to be given the job full time, according to a report from the Telegraph. Moore was put in temporary charge until the end of the season when Alan Pardew was sacked at the start of April following a dreadful tenure that ended with eight straight defeats. The caretaker boss already has more wins than Pardew with two in just four games, including a 1-0 win at Old Trafford. Following another victory against mid-table Newcastle United at the weekend, goalkeeper Foster said he wants the 44-year-old to stay in charge. “I would like him to get the job, to be honest. He’s been absolutely top class and all the players would say exactly the same thing.” Moore was the first-team coach before Pardew left, and has led the Baggies to their longest unbeaten run of the season. Foster thinks the change in results in down to Moore’s approach, saying: “Darren has brought a lot more unity back to the team. Mooro has been around the place for a long time, he knows what works with the team and it’s a very simple kind of recipe really.” The 44-year-old is currently the bookies favourite for the job, and the backing of the current squad will only make it more likely that he will be in the dugout next season.

Grzegorz Krychowiak has confirmed that he is leaving Albion now his loan spell has ended – and in his farewell message he gave his backing to caretaker boss Darren Moore for the permanent job.

Polish midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak has backed caretaker manager Darren Moore to get the full-time job at West Brom.

Krychowiak played in the 2-0 defeat at Crystal Palace, which was his last game for the Baggies, following his loan spell from Paris Saint-Germain.

He made 31 appearances during his spell at the Hawthorns in what was a mixed stint on loan from the French giants.

Krychowiak posted a tweet expressing his thanks to the club and backed caretaker Moore, to become the manager.

“It was my last game today. I’d like to thank all supporters staff and players for this season even we failed to achieve the goal it was a pleasure and honor to play here. Darren Moore to keep the job because he deserves it.”

“All the best and I hope you will come back to the premier league next season because here is your place. Come on you baggies.”

West Brom’s relegation from the Premier League was confirmed last Tuesday after Southampton won 1-0 away at Swansea.

Under Moore, the Baggies had created a small glimpse of hope that they could beat the drop following an upturn in form.

Moore took over from Alan Pardew and revived the team which saw them win against Manchester United, Newcastle United, Tottenham and a draw against Liverpool.
