Carrick brushes away any Pogba rumours .
Michael Carrick has squashed rumours that Paul Pogba does not have a future at the club. Now that his playing career is over, Carrick now has to focus on his players as he starts his career as a coach. Rumours of a fallout between Jose Mourinho and Paul Pogba have been floating around for a few months yet and people have been saying his days at Old Trafford are numbered. Speaking to Sky Sports, Carrick had his say on the Frenchman. “It’s a bit of a silly question, really, I think, of course he has got a future.” “He’s a big player for us, he’s a great age, he’s got his peak years ahead of him. It’s not even something I’d give a second thought to, to be honest.” Pogba has come out and said how much of bonus it has been having Carrick as a coach and publicly spoken about how he feels his ex-captain has improved his game. The Frenchman scored six goals and made 10 assists in a season where he played well but was too inconsistent with his performances.
