Pirates outfielder Starling Marte gave fans and fantasy owners some good news Wednesday after a 3-2 win over the White Sox.

Marte, who left Tuesday's game after one at-bat and missed Wednesday's win, said he's dealing with an oblique injury but likely won't need a stint on the disabled list.

The Pirates (25-17) have been one of the surprise teams in MLB this season. Marte, with his .308/.366/.503 slash with six home runs, 19 RBIs and 10 stolen bases has been one of their most explosive offensive talents.
