Atletico only conceded 22 goals in 38 league games this season, which shows how much of an important player Oblak is to the club and how influential he could have been at Arsenal.

And so, Atlético will move quickly increase his release clause to €100 million when he returns from the Euros as they have already agreed improved wages and the rise in He joins Yannick Carrasco, Antoine Griezmann, Jan Oblak and Koke as players who have been valued this highly by Atleti.

Diego Simeone hass reportedly accepted that one of the English clubs will meet his goalkeeper’s release clause and as such, he is repared to pay £70m to activate the release clause of Kepa Arrizabalaga, who is currently Athletic Bilbao’s number one goalkeeper. Both of the Premier League clubs will see the number one position as a priority over the summer, with Liverpool’s first choice goalkeeper Loris Karius making two mistakes in the recent Champions League Final in the 3-1 loss to Real Madrid. Meanwhile, Petr Cech and David Ospina have been underperforming all season at the Emirates in a disappointing final season for Arsene Wenger, as the Gunners finished sixth. So with both of the two Premier League clubs in desperate need of a goalkeeper, it looks as if one of the world’s best could be on his way to brighten up English football.
