Everton offer midfielder to Turkish giants

Everton offer midfielder to Turkish giants Everton have offered midfielder Davvy Klaassen on loan to Turkish giants Besiktas. According to Fanatik, via HITC, Everton have asked Besiktas if they would like to take Klaassen on loan for next season. Klaassen joined Everton from Ajax for a fee in the region of £25m last summer but has failed to live up to the price tag thus far. The Dutchman found himself out of the team for the majority of the season and out of favour under Sam Allardyce. The 25-year-old could be interested in the move to reinvigorate his career in Turkey. Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp has denied claims Manchester United have enquired as to his availability and reiterated his desire to remain at the Bundesliga club.

Turkish side Besiktas are interested in taking Everton midfielder Davy Klaassen on an initial loan deal, according to Sky Sports. The decision as to whether he remains in Merseyside will likely be left to Everton’s new boss Marco Silva. Meanwhile, Klassen recently revealed his desire to stay with the

Everton midfielder Davy Klaassen appears to have reiterated his desire to remain with the club ahead of next season, in light of reported interest from abroad.

The former Ajax captain told the Liverpool Echo several weeks ago that he wanted to stay and fight to prove himself, and he appears to have repeated these claims, according to Turkish outlet SporX.

Having failed to make much of a positive impact last season, many expected Klaassen to head the list of outgoing players, having ‘flopped’ when comparing impact to his £23.6million price tag the club paid.

Klaassen summer saga takes another turn

Klaassen summer saga takes another turn Everton’s Davy Klaassen saga has taken another turn, with Turkish media reporting that the Dutchman could move to Besiktas this summer in a swap deal for Oğuzhan Özyakup There have been a flurry of different takes on Klaassen’s long-term future on Merseyside in the last few days. Initially, the 25-year old came out and expressed his desire to make things work with Everton, that he wanted to stay and fight for his place. Then yesterday, Turkish outlet Fanatik reported that Everton had offered Klaassen to Besiktas on a season-long loan, with Marcel Brands and the then yet to be announced Marco Silva looking to move the squad around this summer. Today however, the story has again changed, with outlet Takvim claiming that Klaassen will move on a loan deal with an option to make it permanent, with talks beginning in the coming days. Takvim claim this is due to Besiktas needing to replace Anderson Talisca this summer, with Klaassen identified as their key target. Fanatik however, lead with yet another story. They claim that Everton are still keen on signing Özyakup, and will use Klaassen to help that deal progress. It previously seemed like Everton would sign Özyakup for free this summer with the former Arsenal man’s contract set to expire, although after he signed a new deal in order to protect Besiktas from losing money, he will now cost the Blues. However he has a low release clause of around €12million, although instead of outright paying it, Fanatik claim Everton will offer Klaassen plus cash in order to get the deal over the line. So many stories, so much rumour surrounding Everton £23.6million summer signing. As we’ve said before, it’s going to be a long silly season.

But it's also fair to say that Shaw has never been ambiguous about his present desire to remain at Stanford. He hasn't used the sort of phrases that leave obvious wiggle room when asked about other jobs.

Keita is said to have “ reiterated his desire ” to join Liverpool this summer, with Leipzig now forced to make a decision over whether to sell their No. 8. If Makadji is to be believed, it may be that Leipzig’s resolve is crumbling, and Keita could be on his way to Merseyside this summer.

Several reports in the weeks following the season’s end have linked Klaassen with a move to Besiktas in Turkey. While some are claiming a loan switch is in the pipeline, others claim Everton would look to shift him permanently.

Now though, SporX have reported the new quotes that show Klaassen’s desire to prove his worth on Merseyside. According to the outlet, Klaassen said:

“Coming to Everton was the right choice for me.”

“A club full of passion, suitable for my game style. I feel like I’m at home.”

“I can’t wait to start the new season in Everton.”

It all depends on where Klaassen fits in Marco Silva’s plans, but Evertonians will surely be keen to see the Dutchman prove himself if he truly does have the ability to do so.

Five central defenders Everton could sign this transfer window .
Everton approach this summer’s transfer window with a desire to give new manager Marco Silva a refreshed roster. The team that spluttered to an eighth placed finish in the Premier League missed out on European football, and manager Sam Allardyce was relieved of the duties he took from Ronald Koeman earlier in the campaign. Defensively, the Toffees proved worryingly porous. Conceding 58 goals, Everton fans know that in order for success in the future, a tighter defence is a necessity. With that in mind, we’ve identified five centre backs that could be sensible targets for Silva and his recruitment staff. 1/6 SLIDES © Stu Forster/Getty Images Sport Five central defenders Everto
