Arsenal face competition from Bundesliga side for Brazilian winger

Arsenal face competition from Bundesliga side for Brazilian winger Arsenal will face competition from Bundesliga side RB Leipzig for the signature of Chelsea winger Kenedy this summer. Goal reports that Leipzig and Arsenal are leading the race to sign the Brazilian, who is facing an uncertain future at Stamford Bridge. Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain have been briefly linked with the player, while Newcastle are also keen on a permanent deal but face the prospect of being priced out. The winger was loaned out to the Magpies for the second half of the season when he fell out of favour under Antonio Conte. With the latter closing in on a Chelsea departure, Kenedy may see that as a route back into the first-team squad at Stamford Bridge. Emil Forsberg is being heavily linked with a move to Arsenal, who have been long-term admirers of the Swedish forward. Kenedy could be seen as a direct replacement for the winger, who is being tipped to move on from the Bundesliga outfit this summer.

Arsenal are in advanced negotiations over a deal to sign Caglar Soyuncu from Freiburg this summer, according to a report from Turkish-Football.

The Gunners have been chasing the young defender for some time now and it seems progress has been made in their pursuit to land the promising centre-back.

Soyuncu impressed for Freiburg last season and has established himself as a full international for the Turkish national team.

Turkish-Football quote Soyuncu’s agent confirming Arsenal’s interest, while also revealing that Sven Mislintat, the Gunners’ head of recruitment, wanted to land the player during his tenure at Borussia Dortmund previously.

Arsenal target makes admission over potential summer move

Arsenal target makes admission over potential summer move Arsenal’s interest in Freiburg defender Caglar Soyuncu has been confirmed by the player himself. The Gunners have been heavily linked with a move for the promising defender, who is understood to be valued at a price tag worth £35 million by Bundesliga side Freiburg. Arsenal want to bolster their defensive ranks ahead of next season and Soyuncu has been touted as an option for Unai Emery. It appears as though Arsenal’s interest in signing the player is genuine, also, with Soyuncu himself recently confirming that the North London outfit have already expressed an interest. Speaking to the media in his homeland of Turkey, as cited in a report from the Daily Mail, Soyuncu said: “Arsenal are one of the most important clubs in England. I know they’re interested in me, but there’s nothing finalised yet about my transfer. After the national team camp, we’ll have talks.” The 22-year-old enjoyed a good season in Germany with Freiburg and has caught the eye of a number of top clubs across Europe, with Arsenal among those keen. Arsenal’s defensive issues have been well-documented in recent seasons and it is seemingly hoped that the addition of Soyuncu can remedy some long-standing deficiencies among the squad.

“Sven Mislintat has been keen on Caglar since he was at Borussia Dortmund. He first scouted him back in Germany. Sven is interested in Caglar, there are concrete talks, all that remains is for a fee to be agreed. We will see what happens next.”

Liverpool have also been linked with a swoop for Soyuncu but it seems Arsenal are leading the way in the race to recruit the exciting young central defender.

It seems that all Arsenal must do before they are able to confirm their recruitment of Soyuncu is to agree a fee with Freiburg, as the player remains keen on the switch to the Emirates.

Arsenal considering move for French international .
Arsenal are considering a move for French international Benjamin Pavard this summer. According to Football London, Pavard is among a group of defenders that Arsenal are looking at. Sevilla’s Clement Lenglet and Mainz’s Abdou Diallo are also thought to be options for Arsenal. Pavard is currently at the World Cup in Russia plying his trade for France, who won their opening match 2-1 against Australia. The 22-year-old played in central defence for Stuttgart in the Bundesliga last season, but is being deployed as a right-back for France. Arsenal manager Unai Emery is eager to strengthen his defence and is thought to be closing in on the signing of Sokratis from Borussia Dortmund. Pavard impressed in the Bundesliga last season and would command a reasonable fee should Arsenal look to further pursue a deal. Stephan Lichtsteiner and Bernd Leno have already completed moves to Arsenal so far this transfer window.
