Liverpool keen on summer deal for Alisson

Liverpool keen on summer deal for Alisson Liverpool are set to make a fresh swoop for Roma goalkeeper Alisson this summer, according to the Telegraph. The Reds have been heavily linked with a move for the Brazilian international over the course of the season and it seems a summer pursuit could be on the cards. Alisson enjoyed an excellent season with Roma in Serie A and cemented his place in Tite’s plans for Brazil’s World Cup campaign in Russia this summer. Roma are intent on keeping hold of Alisson ahead of next season, however, and prising him away from the Italian giants is sure to be a tough task for Liverpool this summer. Following the errors committed by Loris Karius in the Champions League final against Real Madrid on Saturday, it seems as though the Reds’ desire to recruit a new goalkeeper this summer has only been intensified. It’s believed that Alisson remains Liverpool’s preferred goalkeeping signing this summer, with Jurgen Klopp understood to be a keen admirer of the player’s talents.

Liverpool’s chances of signing Roma goalkeeper Alisson appear to have taken a hit, with Brazil’s goalkeeping coach reiterating the player’s happiness in Italy.

Claudio Tafferel spoke to the media about the Brazil international’s chances of leaving Roma this summer, with talk of a move to Liverpool continuing to build ahead of next season.

Alisson has long been linked with a move to Anfield and with the Reds keen to replace Loris Karius with a new, top-class goalkeeper, the Roma star is a target for Jurgen Klopp.

However, as quoted by the Liverpool Echo, it seems the Reds will be hard-pressed to lure Alisson away from Roma, with Tafferel claiming that the shot-stopper is happy to stay put.

Roma slap £79m price tag on Alisson amid Liverpool interest

Roma slap £79m price tag on Alisson amid Liverpool interest Liverpool have learned how much they will have to pay to land Alisson from Roma this summer, according to the Guardian. The Reds’ interest in the Brazilian goalkeeper has been well documented in recent times, with the club stepping up their pursuit of a new, top-class replacement for Loris Karius. Alisson is understood to top Liverpool’s list of transfer targets in this position, but Roma are keen to keep hold of their star man. It’s claimed by the Guardian that they will demand a record-breaking fee of €90m (£79m) for the goalkeeper’s services this summer. The Brazilian international enjoyed a superb season in Italy as he established himself as one of Serie A’s most impressive goalkeepers. It comes as no surprise to see clubs of Liverpool’s calibre seeking to land Alisson following his exploits last term, but it seems they will be forced to cough up a world-record fee for a goalkeeper if they are to land him. Real Madrid are also understood to be in the race to sign Alisson, who is likely to start for Brazil at this summer’s World Cup in Russia.

“Alisson is very happy at Roma and the rumours of a transfer are just rumours. I don’t know what will happen, but he said he’d be content to remain at Roma.”

Atletico Madrid’s Jan Oblak has also been named as a target for the Reds but it’s likely that the release clause included in his deal with the La Liga side will be enough to put Liverpool off a summer approach.

Roma ready to hijack Arsenal's deal for key target .
Roma are looking to hijack Arsenal’s attempts to sign Bayer Leverkusen goalkeeper Bernd Leno, according to talkSPORT, who claim that the Giallorossi want the German to replace Alisson. The Brazilian goalkeeper was one of both Roma’s and Serie A’s star men last season, and has subsequently been linked with a mega money move to either Liverpool or Real Madrid this summer. While it is not yet known where Alisson will go, it is expected that he will depart the Stadio Olimpico during this transfer window. Selling the 25-year old would leave the Italian capital outfit low on squad depth in that department, with only Łukasz Skorupski left at the club, and Leno would represent a smart move to bring in a new number one.
