Fulham pushing to sign Matt Targett permanently

Fulham pushing to sign Matt Targett permanently Fulham are pushing to complete a permanent move for Southampton defender Matt Targett, according to the Daily Star. The young left-back joined Fulham in the January transfer window midway through last season and enjoyed an impressive spell at the club, featuring regularly in Slavisa Jokanovic’s side. Targett helped Fulham as they secured promotion to the Premier League via the Championship play-offs, establishing himself as a key man for the Whites. The Saints academy graduate is understood to be open to the idea of remaining at Craven Cottage for the foreseeable future, with the player claiming earlier in the season that he had received no contact from Southampton since his departure. Saints are well-stocked with left-back options but all three of their players in this position have been linked with a move away. Ryan Bertrand could leave this summer, while Sam McQueen is also rumoured to be on the verge of joining Bristol City to come in as Joe Bryan’s replacement. Targett’s future is seemingly uncertain, but Fulham will evidently be doing all they can to recruit the youngster on a permanent basis.

Crystal Palace. Everton. Fulham . Huddersfield Town. Indeed, Football Italia are reporting that the Gunners are ready to make a move for the centre-half, claiming that the Serbia international is being seen as the long-term partner for Callum Chambers at the heart of Arsenal ’s defence.

Arsenal defender Calum Chambers is closing in on a deal to spend next season at Watford. Chambers will consider a year on loan as he attempts to revive his career and rekindle his talent. His former club Southampton have also been linked with a loan move .

Newly-promoted Premier League side Fulham are considering a summer move for Arsenal defender Callum Chambers.

Sky Sports report that the Cottagers are keen to add Chambers to their squad as they prepare for life in the top flight.

Fulham were reportedly keen to sign Chelsea defender Tomas Kalas on a permanent deal after a successful time on loan at the club, but Chambers could be seen as a cheaper alternative.

After struggling to hold down a regular place in the Arsenal squad, Chambers spent the 2016-17 season on loan at Middlesbrough, but he was unable to help them avoid an instant return to the Championship.

Newcastle keen on deal for Fulham star

Newcastle keen on deal for Fulham star Newcastle United will reportedly look to sign Fulham defender Ryan Fredericks this summer. According to a report from the Chronicle Live, the Magpies are the latest side to express an interest in recruiting the right-back, who enjoyed an impressive season at Craven Cottage. Fredericks played an instrumental role throughout the campaign under Slavisa Jokanovic, performing well on the right flank as Fulham secured promotion to the Premier League. However, the 25-year-old’s future at Craven Cottage has come under scrutiny in recent months, with the player still yet to put pen to paper on a new deal with the club. Fredericks has already been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League, with West Ham and Crystal Palace understood to be keen, and his contractual situation is still unresolved. The defender sees his current deal at Fulham expire at the end of June, meaning Newcastle may have the chance to land Fredericks on a free transfer this summer.

Apparently, the Toffees are keen on signing the former Manchester United defender but if they fail to sign him, they will look to raid Arsenal for Calum Chambers . Chambers has failed to impress at Arsenal following his move from Southampton in 2014.

Everton could move for £15m-rated Arsenal defender Calum Chambers if they fail to sign Michael Keane. Barcelona line up £60m bid for Manchester United's Anthony Martial and Fulham 's teen sensation Ryan Sessegnon is also on their radar.

Chambers made just 12 Premier League appearances for Arsenal last season and the 23-year-old will want to be securing regular first-team football at this stage of his career.
