Everton make bid for 25-year-old left-back

Everton make bid for 25-year-old left-back Everton have made an offer to Montpellier for left-back Jerome Roussillon, according to Paris United, as reported by GFFN. Marco Silva seems keen to address Everton’s defensive personnel this summer and with Leighton Baines coming towards the end of his career, it makes sense for the new manager to have his eye on a new left back. According to the Paris United report, Leicester City have also made an offer for the 25-year-old but he is apparently keen to join a side who are playing in European competition this season. Fenerbahce, Monaco, and Sevilla are all said to be interested in the former French youth international although they are yet to make any firm offer for him. If one of those sides do come in for him, that might make it difficult for Everton to get him to Goodison Park, if his desire to play in Europe outweighs his desire to sign for the Toffees.

Everton have emerged as the frontrunners in the race to sign James Maddison and are expected to make the opening offer for the Norwich City midfielder. • England Under - 21 international wanted by Marco Silva • West Ham and Leicester also expected to firm up interest.

Everton set to make loan swoop for England international

Everton set to make loan swoop for England international Everton are lining up a move for Manchester United forward and England international Marcus Rashford. According to The Daily Record, Everton are keen to make an offer for Rashford over the coming weeks, but are only prepared to suggest a loan. The report claims, however, that Manchester United will reject any attempts to prize Rashford away on a temporary basis. Rashford struggled at times to make an impact last season at United and found himself out of the team for large chunks of the campaign. The forward recently impressed in England’s 2-0 win over Costa Rica in their last friendly ahead of the World Cup in Russia this summer. He scored the opening goal in the game, as he lasered a strike past Real Madrid goalkeeper Keylor Navas from outside the box. The report also claims that Leicester and Newcastle are also keen on making a move for the young striker.
