Chelsea ready to sell Kalas for £10m

Chelsea ready to sell Kalas for £10m Chelsea are ready to sell Tomas Kalas this summer but are demanding £10 million from potential suitors. The Mirror, as cited by Football League World, claim Fulham are keen on a permanent deal after the defender impressed with the Cottagers whilst on loan. Fulham are preparing for life in the Premier League and Kalas does not appear to have a future at Stamford Bridge. The defender has not ruled out returning to Chelsea and fighting for his place, but the Whites could offer him regular first-team football in the Premier League. Kalas has become a fan favourite after two years on loan with Fulham and he played a key role in their promotion from the second tier. The 25-year-old has been at Chelsea since 2010 but has been unable to break through into the first-team squad, making just a handful of appearances throughout his time at Stamford Bridge.

The Brazilian has been named as a potential transfer target for the Magpies after an impressive stint on loan at St James’ Park.

Kenedy joined the club in January and an inspired run of form helped Rafa Benitez’s men stay in the top flight.

Stand-off continues as Benitez demands big bucks

Stand-off continues as Benitez demands big bucks Despite a 3-0 victory at home to Chelsea on the final day of the season sending Newcastle fans into a summer of rejoicing and good feelings, three weeks have passed and the stand-off between manager Rafael Benitez and owner Mike Ashley continues. Ashley is keen for Benitez to stay at the club for next season, but the Spaniard wants budgetary promises from the owner. Talks between Benitez’s representatives and the club had begun prior to the end of the season, but it is understood those talks have not yet reached any kind of conclusion. The former Real Madrid manager was understood to have had very little to work with in terms of transfers last year, relying on loan players to play a key role in first team action, including Kenedy Martin Dubravka. The tenth placed finish for the Magpies accompanied some excellent results, as memorable victories against Arsenal and Manchester United accompanied that season finale defeat of Chelsea. If the club are to make the next step and cement their status as a top-half club, a harmonious relationship between the manager and the board will surely be advantageous.

This time a year ago it was Nathan Ake and Nat Chalobah who were on the way out of the club as Chelsea looked to cash in on some of their developing stars. Both of those caused some annoyance among fans who wanted to see them in the squad

The Brazilian’s form alerted several teams around Europe, with the likes of Arsenal, RB Leipzig and Bayern Munich all taking notice of his availability after falling out of favour at Chelsea.

Benitez has often hinted at a permanent move for the player but also admitted that the club could be priced out of a deal.

Newcastle are eyeing England international, and Chelsea midfielder, Ruben Loftus-Cheek on a loan deal this summer. According to The Chronicle, Chelsea are considering letting Newcastle take a player on loan from the club for the third season in-a-row. Christian Atsu and Kenedy are both players who have joined Newcastle on loan from Chelsea, and both found success. Newcastle are now looking at Loftus-Cheek to join that list next season, with Rafa Benitez a big fan of the midfielder. Loftus-Cheek is currently away on England duty but looks set for a big decision over his future when he returns from Russia. The midfielder spent last season on loan to Crystal Palace, and impressed, in the Premier League. He will be hoping to push on next season, even if that means he moves away from Chelsea again.
