Arsenal keen to sign another Bundesliga star

Arsenal keen to sign another Bundesliga star Arsenal are reportedly keen on signing Red Bull Leipzig defender Lukas Klostermann, whose impressive performances have attracted much interest from Europe’s top clubs, according to The Express. Klostermann has been at Leipzig since 2014, and has a contract keeping him at the club until 2021. Arsenal were reportedly keen on bringing in Klostermann just prior to the 2016/17 season, but nothing materialised. Unai Emery apparently sees Arsenal’s defence as the main problem which needs addressing at the Emirates, with Per Mertesacker leaving and taking on a coaching role, as well as players like Shkodran Mustafi and Laurent Koscielny underwhelming last season. Emery has already brought in his first signing, Stephan Lichtsteiner from Juventus on a free transfer, but he mainly plays as a right back or right wing back. Klostermann was a vital part of the Leipzig squad which gained European qualification and made it to the quarter-finals of the Europa League last season. The vast experience he has at such a youthful age could be a very useful asset to Emery at Arsenal if he were to make a switch from Germany to England.

Nantes midfielder Jordan Veretout has emerged as a transfer target for Arsenal , who are considering a January bid for the France Under -21 international, according to the Mirror. READ MORE: Inter Milan Now Favourites To Sign Arsenal Star.

Lyon won't sell Nabil Fekir until after the World Cup

Lyon won't sell Nabil Fekir until after the World Cup Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas says that Lyon forward Nabil Fekir, a target of Liverpool, won’t be sold during the World Cup and he’s unlikely to move before the tournament. Twitter: #Mercato @JM_Aulas : “Le dossier @NabilFekir ne se bouclera ni avant ni pendant la @FIFAWorldCup.” Toutes les d… https://t.co/0HiRRE8OBs (@OL) He said: “The record is at a standstill, there is no way forward. The record will certainly not close during the World Cup and I do not think there is any change before the World Cup. (We) have not set a base price because we have not discussed this yet” Fekir is clearly a target for Liverpool and if they have to wait until after the World Cup to sign him then they’d be prepared to do just that, having shown patience in the market in the past. The Reds are also interested in bringing in Xherdan Shaqiri from Stoke City, whilst they are still keeping tabs on Roma goalkeeper Alisson.

Twenty year old Cengiz Under – an Altinordu product – became the most expensive Turkish international to leave the Super Lig when Altinordu club president Mehmet Ozkan revealed that three Premier League sides have also been keeping close tabs ; Arsenal , Manchester City and Liverpool.

Barcelona are keeping tabs on Turkish winger Cengiz Under , according to Roma's sporting director Monchi. Under , 20, joined Roma for €13.4 million from Basaksehir last summer and has caught the eye with a series of impressive performances in Serie A.

In 15 league starts for Roma, Under scored an impressive seven times and managed one assist.

Should Under continue to progress at the rate has done, it will only be a matter of time before Europe’s top sides come calling, a story that Roma know all too well.

Everton eye Inter man but face competition from Chelsea and Spurs .
Everton will keep tabs on Inter midfielder Matias Vecino this summer but they will face stiff competition from Premier League rivals Chelsea and Spurs for his signature, according to Italian news outlet Calciomercato. The 26-year-old defensive midfielder has made one appearance in the World Cup for Uruguay and looked assured in possession during his nation’s victory over Egypt. Toffees’ boss Marco Silva is keen to bring in new players to freshen up the squad and he has reportedly identified Vecino as a target. Vecino managed to get his name on the scoresheet three times last season but it is his defensive work which is what makes him stand out on the pitch. The midfielder started 25 times in the Italian top flight and helped Inter secure fourth position and UEFA Champions League football. Everton may need to act quickly as fellow Premier League sides Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are keeping tabs on his situation. The Merseyside club doesn’t have the appeal of European football to offer Vecino which could tempt him to remain at the San Siro.
