Chelsea ready to end Drinkwater's Blues stay

Chelsea ready to end Drinkwater's Blues stay Chelsea are reportedly interested in cutting their losses and selling Danny Drinkwater, according to the Mirror. The Blues are ready to get rid of the midfielder only a year after signing the midfielder from Leicester City for over £30 million. The midfielder has struggled to get game time at Stamford Bridge, only making five Premier League starts for Chelsea. The midfielder has seen his England World Cup chances completely go, with Drinkwater not even a backup player for Gareth Southgate’s side in Russia. The 28-year-old could raise some cash for Chelsea to buy other transfer targets, including Jean Michael Seri, with the Blues looking to replace Drinkwater with the Nice star. Drinkwater will move on without winning anything with the Blues, after winning the Premier League title with Leicester City in 2016. Drinkwater moved to Chelsea last Summer for over £30 million but failed to make an impact in the first team.

With the World Cup 2018 about to get underway, there will be plenty of Chelsea players aiming for glory in Russia for their respective countries.

It’s fair to say that there is a real possibility that one of the Stamford Bridge stars will end the tournament as a World Cup winner, following in the footsteps of André Schürrle, who won the tournament with Germany as a Chelsea player back in 2014.

Even though there quite of few Chelsea players who missed out on making their nation’s 23-man squad, including Spain’s Cesc Fàbregas, Marcos Alonso, Pedro and Álvaro Morata, there are still fourteen Chelsea players who made the plane to Russia.

Chelsea reportedly still keen on deal for Aleksandr Golovin

Chelsea reportedly still keen on deal for Aleksandr Golovin Chelsea are reportedly still keen on a summer deal for CSKA Moscow midfielder Aleksandr Golovin. The young playmaker enjoyed an impressive season in his homeland of Russia and has attracted interest from a host of top clubs across Europe, including Chelsea. For months, reports linking Golovin with a move to Stamford Bridge had quietened down but according to fresh claims from Tuttosport, as cited by Calciomercato, the Blues remain out to secure the player. Golovin, who is a key player for Russia in their bid to progress in this summer’s World Cup, impressed throughout last season because of his creativity and ability to influence games in the final third. CSKA want to keep hold of their prized asset but if reports are to be believed, they will be willing to sanction a sale if their valuation of €25 million is met. Also, it’s claimed that the Russian giants are insisting on a 25% sell-on clause in any deal for Golovin. Although, if the promising midfielder goes on to enjoy an impressive tournament this summer, CSKA could see fit to demand a higher fee for their star man. Chelsea are not alone in their interest in the player, however. According to the claims from Tuttosport, Arsenal and Juventus are also keen on a summer deal.

Arsenal make approach for ex-Chelsea star .
Arsenal have made an approach to Juventus regarding winger Juan Cuadrado, according to reports in Italy. However, it appears that Juve have absolutely no desire to sell the 30-year-old and they will offer him a new contract in order to fend off any interest from the Gunners. The Colombian is currently away on international duty at the World Cup, but Juventus have already contacted his agent about extending his current deal until 2020 and talks will resume as and when Colombia exit the competition. The winger had a tough time of things during his last spell in England, where he failed to make an impact at Chelsea. However, the likes of Mohamed Salah and Kevin De Bruyne have proven that players can come back after a tough spell at Chelsea to have successful Premier League careers, so that shouldn’t put Arsenal off if Juventus change their stance and decide to let Cuadrado leave.
