Chelsea target Lewandowski keen to leave Bayern

Chelsea target Lewandowski keen to leave Bayern Chelsea have received a huge boost in their pursuit of Robert Lewandowski, with the striker’s agent revealing that he is keen to leave Bayern Munich this summer. The Blues have been linked with a host of strikers recently, including Juventus’ Gonzalo Higuain, but Lewandowski is reported to be their top target. Lewandowski has been a mainstay in the Bayern side following his controversial move from Borussia Dortmund some years ago, but it appears as though his time in Germany is coming to an end. Pini Zahavi, who only recently became Lewandowski’s representative, discussed his client’s future plans with German news outlet Sport Bild. “Robert feels that he needs a change and a new challenge in his career. Those responsible at Bayern know about it. Robert’s motives are not [about] money or a specific club, because almost all the top clubs would like to have the best striker in the world in their ranks.” Chelsea will be closely monitoring Lewandowski’s situation at the Allianz Arena, with the club understood to be keen on recruiting a top-class striker following Alvaro Morata’s shortcomings last term. Lewandowski has also been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United, though, and Chelsea will certainly be met by stiff competition for the Polish international’s signature.

Manchester United target Jerome Boateng could be allowed to leave Bayern Munich this summer, the Daily Post reports.

However the club’s CEO, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, has said that Boateng will only leave if the price is right.

United have been linked with the German international in the past with Mourinho said to be monitoring eight centre-backs this summer.

The 29-year-old still has two years left on his current deal with Bayern, but Rummenigge has said that the defender could be sold this summer.

“If a club comes to us and he says that he wants to join that club, then we will negotiate. But the offer has to be important.”

Bayern Munich slap huge price tag on Chelsea target Robert Lewandowski

Bayern Munich slap huge price tag on Chelsea target Robert Lewandowski Bayern Munich have slapped a staggering £175million price tag on Chelsea target Robert Lewandowski after he stated his desire to leave the club this summer, the Mirror reports. The Polish striker is being much sought-after with Chelsea, Manchester United, Real Madrid and Paris St Germain all chasing his signature. Chelsea are desperate to bolster their attacking options ahead of next season after the failure of last year’s summer signing Alvaro Morata, and missing out on securing Champions League football. However Bild in Germany are reporting that Bayern will refuse to listen to any offers under their £175million evaluation of the player. Pini Zahavi, Lewandowski’s agent, has reportedly offered the player to Chelsea, Manchester United and PSG, but Lewandowski would prefer a move to Real Madrid. However it looks unlikely that any changes will be made to the Real squad before Zinedine Zidane’s successor is named, and Lewandowski will be hopeful that the new appointment is still keen on his signature.

“I’ve experienced everything at FC Bayern, and I am slowly coming to a point where I must answer myself certain questions.”

“What are the goals I have not reached yet? Do I, time and time again, want to prove myself at the same club with the same pre-conditions?”

Hammers keeping tabs on Chris Smalling .
West Ham are keeping tabs on Chris Smalling’s future at Manchester United, according to the Metro. The report claims that the Hammers are prepared to make a move for the England international if he becomes available this summer. Smalling, who started 28 games in the Premier League last season, faces the prospect of falling down the pecking order at Manchester United this summer. Reports have linked United with big-money moves for the likes of Jerome Boateng and Raphael Varane after they ended their interest in Toby Alderweireld. The Hammers themselves are in the market for a new central defender. Manuel Pellegrini’s side are in talks to sign Alfie Mawson from Swansea. There is also a deal agreed in principle with Toulouse defender Issa Diop for €25 million. Smalling could be seen as an alternative to either player should deals fall through, with Everton also in the running to sign Diop.
