Unai Emery will face the toughest of tests during his first Premier League game as Arsenal manager, welcoming the defending champions.

The club confirmed that Pep Guardiola’s side travel to the Emirates on the opening day before the Gunners make the short journey to Stamford Bridge for their second game of the season.

Starts don’t get much harder for Emery, who will be keen to hit the ground running in his new job.

The run-in does get slightly more favourable for Emery, who will be pleased with the club’s Christmas schedule.

The Gunners face Burnley, Brighton and Liverpool during the final stages of the festive period.

Emery will be delighted with the end-of-season run-in with the Gunners set to face Watford, Palace, Leicester, Brighton and Burnley in their last five games of the campaign.

As with every year, fixtures and kick-off times are all subject to change as and when the relevant games are chosen for broadcasting.

Arsenal exploring deal for Barcelona forward .
Arsenal are exploring the possibility of signing Barcelona forward Ousmane Dembele. According to Football London, Arsenal are interested in signing Dembele this summer. The report claims that Arsenal are keen on a loan deal for Dembele, rather than a permanent one. However, Football London also claim that a deal is highly unlikely at this moment in time. Barcelona are looking to keep hold of Dembele next season and give him a chance to push on after a difficult first season in Spain. Dembele is currently away at the World Cup in Russia with France, where he started their opening a game against Australia. France won 2-1, although Dembele was unable to get himself on the scoresheet. The 21-year-old joined Barcelona from Borussia Dortmund last summer for a fee in the region of €145m, but was only able to score four goals in 23 appearances for the Spanish outfit.
