Southampton will need to splash the cash to land Felipe Anderson

Southampton will need to splash the cash to land Felipe Anderson Southampton will be forced to smash their transfer record if they are to sign Felipe Anderson from Lazio this summer, according to Italian reports. On Sunday, the Saints were named as a club chasing the signature of the versatile attacker. Leicester City and West Ham were also cited with interest in Anderson. Fresh claims from Corriere dello Sport, as cited by Calciomercato, on Monday indicate that although Anderson may be allowed to leave Lazio this summer, it will not be for a cheap fee. It’s claimed that Lazio are demanding a colossal sum for Anderson and that they have already knocked back a huge bid worth around £33 million from West Ham. Corriere dello Sport believe Lazio value the Brazilian playmaker at a huge sum worth approximately £43.8m – a price that appears to be well out of Saints’ range. The maximum fee that Southampton have paid for a player in the past is £19m, which was spent on the addition of Guido Carrillo from AS Monaco in January. It seems a move for Anderson is doubtful for Saints, unless Lazio drastically reduce their asking price.

In July 1997, Glazer sold all of Zapata 's Bolivian and oil and gas properties to Tesoro Bolivia Petroleum Company, thereby eliminating all links to the company's past. His next move would determine the future course for Zapata .

Southampton are reportedly taking a look at Sampdoria’s Duvan Zapata, with the striker linked with a host of Premier League clubs.

The striker, who spent last season on loan at Sampdoria from Napoli with an obligation to buy at the end of the season, netted eleven times in Serie A, attracting interest from a host of other teams.

GazzaMercato report that Zapata remains a target for Atalanta, with a proposed swap deal for the Colombian not interesting Sampdoria. However, Villarreal, West Ham and Southampton are also interested in making a move for Zapata, with the player’s agent receiving calls from said clubs about a potential deal.

Saints facing intense competition to sign James Maddison

Saints facing intense competition to sign James Maddison Southampton are facing intense competition in their bid to land Norwich City star James Maddison this summer. The Saints have been heavily linked with a move for the England Under-21 international in recent months and according to fresh claims from the Mirror, the club are ‘long-term admirers’ of the player. Maddison lit up the Championship with Norwich last season and was heavily tipped for a big summer move to a Premier League side this summer. However, with the player having sustained a long-term knee injury on the final day of the season against Sheffield Wednesday, it seems clubs are reluctant to spend big on the attacking midfielder. Maddison is Norwich’s prized asset, so it comes as no surprise to see the club slap a huge price tag on its head. The Mirror indicate that the Canaries value the playmaker in the region of £25 million. The youngster will undoubtedly miss the start of next season but as depicted by his exploits with Norwich throughout last season, he has immense potential. Leicester City are understood to still be leading the chase for Maddison, but Fulham are reportedly now in the race to land the player, with Saints still mentioned as a potential destination.

Remy could be heading for West Ham. Sam Allardyce is looking to bolster his forward line, with record signing Andy Carroll set to miss the start of the season due to a heel injury. The West Ham manager wanted to bring the £8m Estudiantes striker to east London

Inter Milan have also tracked Zapata , a tall, quick and aggressive defender who can also play right back. Liverpool and Arsenal have previously been linked with Switzerland international Inler, 26. Manchester City will move for Real Madrid's Mateo Kovacic Liverpool's £53m move for Nabil Fekir

However, Saints could face the issue that West Ham did in 2013, when they tried to sign the striker.

West Ham failed to get a work permit for Zapata, meaning they were unable to complete the deal. West Ham owner David Gold told that Daily Star in 2013 that a lack of action for Colombia meant a deal for Zapata was off the cards.

Southampton keen to beat Leicester to the signing of Mohamed Elyounoussi .
Southampton are keen to beat Leicester City in the race for FC Basel winger Mohamed Elyounoussi, according to exclusive claims from the Daily Star. The Saints have long been linked with a move for the wide player, who has caught the eye of a number of Premier League clubs in the last 18 months at Basel. Elyounoussi is a top target for Leicester this summer but if the Daily Star are to be believed, Saints want to recruit the player in a deal worth £16 million. Southampton look set to lose Dusan Tadic to Ajax this summer and are hopeful of receiving around £18m from this sale. Sofiane Boufal could also depart St Mary’s, meaning that fresh attacking blood would be required. Elyounoussi, who is an established international for Norway, enjoyed a fantastic season in Switzerland. He found the net on 13 occasions in all competitions and also contributed with a rather impressive total of 17 assists. The Daily Star even go as far as claiming that Saints have tabled a contract offer worth £8m across four years, along with performance-based bonuses. This would equate to weekly wages of just under £40,000 for Elyounoussi.
