Fulham readying bid for Southampton's Matt Targett

Fulham readying bid for Southampton's Matt Targett Fulham are stepping up their interest in Southampton defender Matt Targett, according to reports. The Mirror claims that the Premier League new boys are preparing a bid to sign the player permanently following an impressive loan stint in the Championship. Following their promotion to the top flight via the play-offs, the Cottagers are looking to seal permanent deals for both Targett and Newcastle striker Aleksandar Mitrovic. Both players were influential in their promotion campaign, playing key roles during the second half of the season. Targett impressed at the back for Fulham, adding some defensive stability that would bring the best out talented youngster Ryan Sessegnon, who played in front of the Southampton loanee. The defender is said to be keen on the idea of completing a permanent switch to Craven Cottage, where regular Premier League game time would appear to be more likely after falling out of favour at Southampton.

Boro want permanent Besic move. Middlesbrough are eyeing a deal that would take midfielder Muhamed Besic to the Riverside on a full time basis. The Bosnian enforcer signed for the North East outfit in January on a loan that is set to last until the end of the campaign

Mohamed Besic could be tempted with a return to Middlesbrough if chances do not appear at Everton, according to the Northern Echo.

The Bosnian midfielder spent the second half of last season at Boro, helping Tony Pulis’ side reach the Playoffs before being knocked out by Aston Villa. Besic reportedly enjoyed his time in Teesside and would welcome a return to the Riverside.

On his return to Everton however, Besic wants to know where he stands with new manager Marco Silva, with the Portuguese boss potentially opening the door to some fringe players.

Sheffield United eye Chelsea pair to boost promotion hopes

Sheffield United eye Chelsea pair to boost promotion hopes Sheffield United are hoping to complete a double deal for Chelsea pair Jamal Blackman and Kasey Palmer. The Yorkshire Post claim that United are hoping to land Blackman on a permanent deal after he impressed on loan last season. Blackman finally looks set to secure a move away from Chelsea as he looks for regular first-team football. The goalkeeper came through the ranks at Stamford Bridge but has never made a senior appearance during his time at the club. Palmer spent the end of last season on loan at Derby County, who narrowly missed out on promotion to the Premier League. A move to Sheffield United would be Palmer’s third loan spell in the Championship, but injuries have seen the midfielder struggle for regular minutes of late. Palmer remains highly thought of at Chelsea, but there is an acceptance that he needs to be playing regularly to get his development back on track following his impressive loan stint at Huddersfield during their promotion campaign.

Manchester United striker Angelo Henriquez has revealed he would be open to making his loan move at Dinamo Zagreb a permanent one. And the 20-year-old has confessed that he would be tempted to stay at Dinamo, where he has so far scored four goals in seven games.

Boro fan talking to besic Boro fan: Will you sign for boro permanently Besic : I will not Boro fan: *commits suicide* Besic : I will not . stay at everton This is so sad. RT if you cried.

Besic could see more first-team opportunities thanks to Silva’s arrival, with the new boss hinting he will not be rushing into letting players leave the club so soon after his arrival.

If first-team opportunities are not available, then Besic could be tempted to a move back to Boro, with Pulis aiming to take Boro back to the Premier League after narrowly missing out last season.

Liverpool handed Strakosha transfer boost .
Liverpool have been handed a boost in their pursuit of Thomas Strakosha, with Lazio set to sign his replacement. The Italian side a reportedly close to signing Olympiakos’ veteran goalkeeper Silvio Proto, with the Belgian joining Lazio on a permanent deal according to Calcio Mercato. This opens up a potential switch for Strakosha, with a €30 million price tag being put on the Albanian. Liverpool are reportedly not keen on signing Allisson, with the Brazilian’s asking price being set very high by Roma, with Lazio’s rivals demanding over €70 million for the goalkeeper. Gianluigi Donnarumma also has about the same asking price, putting Liverpool out of the race to sign the Italian. Therefore, a deal from Strakosha would be beneficial for the reds, meaning they can finally get a new keeper in and not have to break the back to sign him. Liverpool are not the only ones interested in the Albanian however, with Bayer Leverkusen looking to replace the recently departed Bernd Leno with the Lazio keeper.
