However, a number of players have already been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge nevertheless, and Sevilla midfielder N’Zonzi is the latest in a long list. According to a report from Spanish news outlet Estadio Deportivo, as cited by talkSPORT, Chelsea have expressed an interest in N’Zonzi with his future at the La Liga club currently under scrutiny. Chelsea are already well-stocked with midfield options but it seems reinforcements are being targeted, as links with N’Zonzi emerge. Although, if the Blues are serious in their pursuit of N’Zonzi, they may need to accelerate their efforts. New Arsenal boss Unai Emery is understood to be keen on reuniting with the player at his new club this summer.

Chelsea, Liverpool and Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain are all in the running to sign Porto defender Alex Telles.

Telles is a player that Chelsea have tracked for some time, with interest dating back to Jose Mourinho’s tenure at the club.

Arsenal and Chelsea join the race for Jasper Cillessen

Arsenal and Chelsea join the race for Jasper Cillessen According to Extra.ie Sport, Arsenal and Chelsea are looking to hijack Liverpool’s possible move for Barcelona shot-stopper, Jasper Cillessen. After Loris Karius’ disastrous Champions League final display, Liverpool are looking to sign a new number one, to replace both him and Simon Mignolet. Liverpool were targeting Alisson from Roma but with Mohamed Salah joining Liverpool for just €38m last summer, the Italian outfit are adding ‘Salah tax’ to all transfer proceedings with the Reds. However, Liverpool are not the only club with goalkeeping problems. Petr Cech’s up and down form cost the Gunners last season and as such, they too are said to be interested in Cillessen. Chelsea are also being linked with a move for the Barca number two as speculation about Thibaut Courtois’ future mounts as he’s yet to sign a new contract with the club. Cillessen is surplus to requirements at Barcelona, with Marc-Andre Ter Stegen continuing to perform well for the La Liga champions. The Dutchman has admitted that he will consider a move to a top club in order to get regular first-team action so a move to Arsenal could be on the cards.

Liverpool ready to trigger Alex Telles' £35m release clause .
Liverpool will look to trigger the £35million release clause in Porto defender Alex Telles’ contract this summer, according to a report in A Bola. The 25-year-old is a reported target of Chelsea but reports in Portugal suggest that Liverpool are ready to steal a march by making a move to sign him. The Brazilian star is said to be happy at Porto and he is seemingly in no rush to leave, but a move to the Premier League would be tempting for him, especially on a financial level. However, it is difficult to see Liverpool paying such a large amount for a new left-back after Andrew Robertson impressed so much during the second-half of last season. Futhermore, there have been reports that the Reds are looking to extend the contract of Alberto Moreno so it makes little sense for them to be going after Telles and it looks like reports are being leaked out to perhaps drum up interest in the defender.
