Newcastle United. Southampton. Manchester United have reportedly made an enquiry to Borussia Dortmund over the availability of defender Marc Bartra.

According to a report from the Mirror, Newcastle United have made a ‘tentative enquiry’ to Borussia Dortmund to learn the possibility of a summer move for Mario Gotze.

A host of Premier League clubs are said to be keen on Gotze, who would be open to an exit from Dortmund this summer.

The Germany international struggled to make an impact with Dortmund throughout last season and it seems he is set to seek pastures new, with his future in his homeland in doubt.

Arsenal agree fee with Borussia Dortmund over defender deal

Arsenal agree fee with Borussia Dortmund over defender deal Arsenal have reportedly reached an agreement with Borussia Dortmund over a deal to sign Sokratis Papastathopoulos this summer. The Gunners have been on the lookout for an experienced central defender and according to claims from the Telegraph, the club have agreed a deal worth £16m with Dortmund for Sokratis. Unai Emery has already seen Stephan Lichtsteiner join the club on a free transfer from Juventus and it seems Sokratis will be the second man through the door at the Emirates. The Greek international is being recruited with the view of slotting into the first-team to help remedy Arsenal’s recent defensive woes. Shkodran Mustafi’s considerably unimpressive displays last season along with Laurent Koscielny’s injury troubles appear to have prompted the Gunners to move quickly to land the 29-year-old defender. It’s stated that the deal for Sokratis will not be officially confirmed until the start of next month, but it seems Arsenal have all but secured the defender’s services for a fee of £16m.

ARSENAL have reportedly made an enquiry for Borussia Dortmund midfielder Ilkay Gundogan. And Dortmund are willing to sell the 25-year-old in the summer rather than risk losing him for free next year when his current deal runs out.

Manchester City are reportedly leading the race for Borussia Dortmund star Marco Reus after making an enquiry for the forward. Reus is currently recovering from an ankle injury that he sustained during Germany’s 2-1 Euro 2016 qualifier win over Scotland in September – shortly after he

The report indicates that if a summer deal for the ex-Bayern Munich star is to be tied up, a sum worth £18 million will need to be spent on the transfer.

Gotze, as per the Mirror, is understood to be keen on making the move to the Premier League, having recently flirted with the prospect of a reunion with Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool.

Bundesliga expert says Mario Gotze wants to join Liverpool .
Borussia Dortmund star Mario Gotze wants to move to Liverpool this summer, according to Bundesliga expert Lee Price. Speaking to the Express, Price – who has written two books on German football, including a biography on Reds’ manager Jurgen Klopp – said that Gotze wants to make a move to England and that Liverpool are the team he wants to join. He said: “The German star is out of favour at Borussia Dortmund, and wants to test himself in England, plus would command a relatively modest fee in today’s hyperactive transfer market. Most Premier League clubs would take the star, but Liverpool would be his top choice, largely because of the Klopp factor – who he worked with at Dortmund.” Price also said that Klopp thinks he would be able to get the best out of Gotze again. The current Liverpool manager was the man who promoted Gotze into Borussia Dortmund’s first-team back in 2010. “Klopp thinks he can revitalise the player’s career, unearth a bargain, and add strength in depth to his squad.
