Lyon president reveals United want to sign Nabil Fekir

Lyon president reveals United want to sign Nabil Fekir Lyon president Jean-Michael Aulas has revealed that Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has contacted him regarding the situation of Nabil Fekir, according to a report on Yahoo Sport. The Frenchman was on the verge of signing for Liverpool prior to the world cup but the move collapsed when the Merseyside club and Aulas could not agree on a fee. Ligue 1 side Lyon were asking for £60m for Fekir, with Liverpool reportedly only ready to pay £50m for him. With Liverpool seemingly missing out, United boss Mourinho is eager to swoop in for the playmaker and has been keeping a close eye on him during the world cup group stages. When speaking about United’s interest, Aulas said: “I was with Jose Mourinho the other day. We had long discussions.” “Personally, I am no longer in discussions with Liverpool. At the moment, we are waiting for France and Nabil to have a fantastic World Cup.” Mourinho is desperate to add more quality to his squad to challenge Manchester City next season and Fekir could be the man to add fluidity to United’s attack. However, Fekir has had his fair share of injury problems, which was one of the concerns that Liverpool had when trying to sign him.

Nacer Chadli (born 2 August 1989) is a Belgian professional footballer who plays as a winger for Championship club West Bromwich Albion and the Belgium national team.

West Brom winger Nacer Chadli has reportedly emerged as a surprise target for Ligue 1 giants Lyon.

According to a report from France Football, the former Tottenham Hotspur star has caught the eye of several clubs in recent times following his displays for Belgium in the World Cup.

Chadli emerged as the hero in Belgium’s recent round of 16 triumph over Japan, as he netted a last-gasp winner to secure a 3-2 victory for Roberto Martinez’s men.

The Baggies attacker spent most of last season sidelined through injury but following the club’s relegation down to the Championship, it’s widely expected that he will be on the move this summer.

Liverpool linked with a move for Tanguy Ndombele

Liverpool linked with a move for Tanguy Ndombele Liverpool are reportedly keeping a close eye on the progress of Tanguy Ndombele at Lyon. The midfielder enjoyed an impressive breakthrough season last term and according to claims from French news outlet Le Progres, a host of top European clubs are interested in signing him. Ndombele has established himself as a key player for Lyon and has been widely dubbed as one of Ligue 1’s brightest young talents. Manchester United have been noted with particular interest in recent weeks but if claims from Le Progres are to be believed, Liverpool have been monitoring his progress in France. The Reds have previously been in negotiations with Lyon this summer, but they opted to pull out of their proposed deal to sign Nabil Fekir as a consequence of medical concerns. If Liverpool do indeed push to sign Ndombele, though, they’ll need to fend off stiff competition. It’s believed that along with Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal are also keen.

Lyon attacking midfielder Nabil Fekir is Arsene Wenger's No 1 transfer target for the summer. Fekir scored on Thursday night in Lyon 's 3-1 first leg Europa League last-32 win over Villarreal.

It has, in fact, been previously reported that Chadli will be allowed to leave West Brom for £17 million as a result of the club’s drop down to the second tier of English football.

Chadli is set to be one of several Baggies players to seek exits from the club, as Darren Moore faces a summer of upheaval.

West Ham likely to miss out on Marcelo as Lyon president denies exit .
West Ham look set to miss out on welcoming Marcelo to the London Stadium this summer after Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas said the defender would not be leaving. A report in L’Equipe (translated by Inside Futbol) revealed that despite interest from the East Londoners, the Brazilian would be remaining in Ligue 1 for at least another season. The experienced 31-year-old is deemed to be an irreplaceable component in the heart of the Lyon defensive line, and consequently Aulas is not ready to say goodbye any time soon. Marcelo made 39 appearances for Lyon last season, starting in each one that number. Arriving from Besiktas last summer, Lyon are eager to draw more out of their £5.5 million investment before moving on. New Hammers manager Manuel Pellegrini recently recruited 21-year-old Issa Diop to join the heart of his defence, and has been looking for an experienced pair of boots to line up alongside the Frenchman.
