Hazard's father contacts Real Madrid to sound out summer move

Hazard's father contacts Real Madrid to sound out summer move Eden Hazard’s father reportedly offered the player to Real Madrid prior to their Champions League victory against Liverpool in Kyiv. According to Marca, Thierry Hazard contacted the European heavyweights to sound out their interest in a deal this summer. The report claims that Hazard believes the lack of Champions League football at Stamford Bridge signals the end of his time in the Premier League. Hazard, who is reportedly valued at £105 million, has been a long-term target for Madrid and is viewed as a possible replacement for Gareth Bale, should the Welshman leave the club. There had been some suggestions that Madrid’s interest in Hazard could soften following the departure of Zinedine Zidane, who was a huge admirer of the player. Hazard had made it no secret that he wanted to work with the Frenchman, who was his boyhood idol. Chelsea will be hoping that they can keep hold of Hazard and will be doing all they can to convince him to remain at Stamford Bridge.

Eden Hazard has once again invited the possibility of leaving Chelsea for Real Madrid despite the departure of idol Zinedine Zidane earlier this summer. Zidane is someone special it’s true, but I think Real is everyone ’ s dream .

Hazard is Real Madrid ' s plan B if Neymar doesn't arrive. With the World Cup still his focus, Eden Hazard isn't determined to fight for a transfer out of Chelsea but he has admitted that Zinedine Zidane' s exit hasn't removed the aura "It is true that [Zidane] is special but Madrid makes everyone dream .

Eden Hazard says it would be a "dream" to play for Real Madrid as speculation over the Belgium star's Chelsea future continues.

Hazard has inspired Belgium to a place in the World Cup semi-finals, with his side taking on France in St Petersburg on Tuesday.

Madrid have long been linked with a move for the 27-year-old, while the LaLiga giants could soon need to replace Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Portugal captain is reportedly close to joining Serie A champions Juventus, freeing up a spot in Madrid's front line.

And although Zinedine Zidane stepped down after the Champions League final, to be replaced by Julen Lopetegui, Hazard is still open to joining Madrid.

"Does Real make me dream less without Zidane?" Hazard told beIN SPORTS.

"Zidane is someone special, it's true, but I think Real is everyone's dream.

"Zidane or no Zidane, the white jersey [of Madrid] is special but the blue jersey [of Chelsea] suits me well so it does not bother me if I stay.

"For now, it's the World Cup. As I have said at least 100 times, I am at Chelsea and for the moment nobody has made me an offer."

Chelsea tell Real Madrid they will not sell Hazard for £170m .
Chelsea have told Real Madrid that it will not be easy for them to seal a deal for Eden Hazard this summer. According to The Mirror, Chelsea will not be bullied into selling Hazard, and they could reject an offer of £170m. Real Madrid are thought to be preparing an offer in the region of £170m, which would make Hazard the second most expensive player of all time, behind Neymar. The report claims that Chelsea are hopeful of tieing Hazard down to a new contract with the club. A new deal worth £300k-per-week is set to be put on the table by Chelsea once Hazard returns from his holiday – following his exploits for Belgium at the World Cup this summer. Real Madrid are, however, still expected to complete the signing of Thibaut Courtois before the end of the transfer window next month.
