France take on Belgium in St. Petersburg this evening in their first World Cup semi-final in twelve years.

Les Bleus started the tournament slowly, scraping to wins over Australia and Peru before a lifeless 0-0 draw with Denmark saw them top the group. They have since grown into the competition, an explosive 4-3 win over Argentina was followed by a controlled 2-0 victory against Uruguay.

France enter the last four as favourites to lift the World Cup but have had a recent injury scare as young sensation Kylian Mbappe missed training ahead of the match. Deschamps has also paved the way for Samuel Umtiti to start, the Barcelona defender has been a carrying a knee issue throughout the competition but should be fine to take on the Red Devils on Tuesday.

Belgium Predicted Starting XI v France

Belgium Predicted Starting XI v France Belgium face France in St Petersburg for a place in the World Cup final, it is the first time since Mexico 1986 that the Red Devils have reached the last four. Roberto Martinez has deployed a 3-4-3 formation for the majority of his time in charge but changed to a 4-3-3 to counter the Braziianl attack, it remains to be seen whether the Spaniard reverts back to a 3-4-3 or maintains momentum by keeping with four at the back. One thing is for sure, however, is that PSG full back Thomas Meunier is suspended for the clash with France after picking up a second booking of the competition in the win over Brazil. This is how I predict France to line up with for the crunch match against Belgium:

Real Madrid readying £150m Hazard offer .
Real Madrid are reportedly readying a huge £150 million bid for Eden Hazard as they step up their interest in the Belgian. The Daily Mail claims that the Spanish giants will look to snap up the Belgian international this summer as a replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo. The latter recently joined Real Madrid in a deal believed to be worth around £100 million, giving them money to spend. The likes of Hazard, Neymar and Kylian Mbappe have all been suggested as possible replacements for the Portuguese superstar. Chelsea will be desperate to keep hold of the player, but they have been unable to tie him down to a new long-term contract at Stamford Bridge. Hazard has often spoken of his desire to play for Real Madrid and Zinedine Zidane in particular. However, it seems the Frenchman’s departure has now dampened his stance on a move to Spain in the near future.
