Fenerbahce plan surprise swoop to sign Newcastle outcast

Fenerbahce plan surprise swoop to sign Newcastle outcast Fenerbahce have reportedly joined the race to sign Newcastle United goalkeeper Matz Sels. The Belgian international spent last season on loan at RSC Anderlecht. The Pro League club were keen to sign Sels on a permanent basis, but reports indicated that the move broke down due to disagreements over the player’s value. According to Haberturk, a news outlet based in Turkey, Fenerbahce have expressed an interest in signing Sels, who looks all but set to secure a permanent move away from St James’ Park this summer. The 26-year-old has only been pushed further down the pecking order following the news of Newcastle’s decision to make Martin Dubravka’s loan deal from Sparta Prague permanent. This could lead the Magpies to sanction the sale of Sels this summer, as his future under Rafa Benitez continues to come under scrutiny. Newcastle will be hoping to tie up all of their summer business in efficient fashion, with the season set to start in just over a month.

The downside to constantly churning out young talent, however, is that rival clubs are always circling and keen to get their claws on Forest’s next big thing. Fortunately, however, Forest are confident Mighten will sign a deal and reject the chance to follow Bondswell to Manchester United.

Newcastle are interested in West Ham youngster Domingos Quina, but face competition from Leeds, who have contacted the Premier League club about a deal.

According to the Mirror, both clubs are considering moves for the youngster, in what is likely to be loan deals, however, the report does not specify.

Quina is very highly rated but has struggled to break through at West Ham after he joined from Chelsea.

The Portuguese youngster was limited to just a handful of appearances last season.

Given the arrivals of Jack Wilshere and Andriy Yarmolenko at the London Stadium, with Felipe Anderson expected to follow, Quina may be worried about another season away from the first-team picture.

Newcastle keen for cut-price deal for relegated striker if they miss out on Plea

Newcastle keen for cut-price deal for relegated striker if they miss out on Plea Newcastle United are putting plans in place for a deal to sign Salomon Rondon if they’re unable to secure a move for Alassane Plea. The Northern Echo reports that the Magpies have held talks over a deal for the striker but he remains their back-up plan. Newcastle are currently pursuing a deal for Nice forward Alassane Plea, but they may be forced to turn their attention to Rondon if they’re unable to strike a deal. Plea impressed in Ligue 1 last season, but Newcastle will have to fight off interest from the Bundesliga and also Premier League rivals Tottenham and West Ham. Rondon has a £16.5 million release clause inserted into his current West Brom deal and he is widely expected to leave the club this summer. It is yet to be seen whether Newcastle would be willing to pay that much for the striker and could look to negotiate a cut-price deal. There are some concerns from the Premier League side about the player’s wage demands and the overall cost of a potential deal.

Bundesliga duo eye moves for Quina .
Bundesliga duo Hoffenheim and Werder Bremen are both keen on West Ham youngster Domingos Quina. The Mirror reports that the Hammers are ready to sell the player for just £600,000 after failing to break into the first-team squad during his time there. With just one year remaining on his current deal, the Hammers are ready to cash in on the player, rather than allow him to leave for nothing next summer. Interest has been mounting in the player, with both Leeds and Newcastle previously expressing an interest in a deal. The report also claims that Dutch giants Ajax are keeping tabs on the player’s situation. Quina is one of the most highly-rated youngsters in Europe but joined West Ham after failing to agree on professional terms at Chelsea. The Hammers beat a host of clubs to his signature, but he has not been given the chance to shine in London.
