Valencia set to make £27m move for Divock Origi

Valencia set to make £27m move for Divock Origi Valencia are set to make a £27m bid for Liverpool striker Divock Origi, according to a report from John Percy of The Telegraph. Origi is set to leave Anfield this summer after being told that he is behind Roberto Firmino, Daniel Sturridge, Dominic Solanke and Rhian Brewster in the pecking order. Liverpool, who are willing to let up to ten players, including Simon Mignolet, Loris Karius, Danny Ings and Lazar Markovic, leave this summer, wwill likely gladly accept the £27m offer for the Belgian as Jurgen Klopp looks to trim his squad. At one point in his Liverpool career, Origi was Klopp’s first-choice centre-forward but after his injury, thanks to a horror tackle from then Everton defender Ramiro Funes Mori in a Merseyside derby, he’s never really been able to recapture his form. Origi has struggled in pre-season and as such, it’s almost certain that he’ll be heading out of the club at some point this summer.

Newcastle line up shock swoop for Liverpool star

Newcastle line up shock swoop for Liverpool star Newcastle United are one of the Premier League sides who are interested in signing Liverpool striker Danny Ings, according to a report from John Percy of The Telegraph. Ings, who has asked to leave Anfield this summer after being told that he is behind Roberto Firmino, Daniel Sturridge, Dominic Solanke and Rhian Brewster in the pecking order, is also a target for Crystal Palace and Southampton. Liverpool, who are willing to let up to ten players, including Simon Mignolet, Loris Karius, Divock Origi and Lazar Markovic, leave this summer, have apparently put a £20m asking price on Ings. Whether the Magpies would still be interested in the 26-year-old at that price remains to be seen, especially as he’s been plagued by injuries in recent seasons. Ings, who has one England cap to his name, only returned to full fitness midway through last season after two injury hit seasons, and as such, a £20m fee could be too rich for Southampton’s blood but if the Reds are willing to negotiate, Ings could certainly be a viable option for Rafa Benitez.

To commemorate the tragic events of Hillsborough, the 96 emblem, encased by the eternal flames sits at the nape of the neck.

Burnley unlikely to re-sign Danny Ings

Burnley unlikely to re-sign Danny Ings Burnley are unlikely to re-sign Danny Ings from Liverpool as Sean Dyche’s main focus is to bring Jay Rodriguez back to Turf Moor, according to the Mirror. Liverpool have reluctantly decided to let Ings leave after he requested a move in order to play regular first-team football. He was linked with a move back to Burnley, the side from whom he joined the Reds three years ago, but the Clarets have decided that West Brom’s Jay Rodriguez is the man they want to bring in. Cryatal Palace are, according to the Mirror, leading the race to sign the 25-year-old, but Liverpool will be hoping for more interest so they can drive up their asking price.

Shaqiri cuts holiday short to complete Liverpool move

Shaqiri cuts holiday short to complete Liverpool move Xherdan Shaqiri cut his holiday short in order to complete a move to Liverpool this summer, according to James Pearce. Pearce, of the Liverpool Echo, claims that Swiss star has been looking to get a deal done after returning from the World Cup in Russia. The player is expected to be confirmed as a Liverpool imminently, with a medical scheduled for Friday. Liverpool are reportedly paying a fee in the region of £13 million for the Stoke man, who will provide competition for the Reds in the final third. Jurgen Klopp has been looking to add to his squad and given the low cost of the deal in the current market, Shaqiri was an opportunity that he could not pass up. The 26-year-old scored eight times for Stoke last season and registered a further seven assists in the Premier League, but he was unable to help them avoid relegation to the second tier.
