West Brom reject bid for Ben Foster

West Brom reject bid for Ben Foster West Brom turned down a £1 million offer from Premier League side Watford for goalkeeper Ben Foster, according to the Daily Mail. The approach came from Watford, who have been struggling to find an established keeper following the decline of Heurelho Gomes. Following West Brom’s relegation from the Premier League at the end of the 2017-18 season, it has been reported that key veteran players, including the likes of Craig Dawson, are keen to leave the club. As such, they refused to join the club on their pre-season tour and are facing disciplinary action as a result. This appears to be a change in stance from the Englishman, who back in April said: “I’ll be here. I’ve got no interest in trying to move clubs. I’m very settled and I’m sure there are quite a few others who would love to stay and help us get back to the Premier League.” It is thought that West Brom are holding out for offers that better reflect their players’ market value, despite being relegated to the second tier. Regardless, the loss of Foster – who has made 209 appearances since initially joining the club on loan in 2011 – will be a huge hindrance in the club’s quest to bounce back to the Premier League.

WEST HAM are monitoring Sevilla star Franco Vazquez , according to reports. Vazquez made 44 appearances for the La Liga side last season, operating mainly as an attacking midfielder.

West Ham are ready to make a formal approach for Rafael Benítez and are giving serious consideration to triggering the £6m release clause in the Newcastle manager’s contract.

According to reports in Spain, West Ham have made an approach for Sevilla midfielder Franco Vazquez.

Marca, via Football Espana report that the Irons have made an official enquiry for the Sevilla man, with the Irons looking to secure a deal for the midfielder.

Reports suggest that Sevilla would be open to doing a deal in the region of €20m. This is despite the fact that the player’s release clause, a mandatory part of a contract in Spain, is set at €40 million.
