Southampton interested in Danny Ings

Southampton interested in Danny Ings Southampton are one of the Premier League sides who are interested in signing Liverpool striker Danny Ings, according to a report from John Percy of The Telegraph. Ings, who has asked to leave Anfield this summer after being told that he is behind Roberto Firmino, Daniel Sturridge, Dominic Solanke and Rhian Brewster in the pecking order, is also a target for Crystal Palace and Newcastle United. Liverpool, who are willing to let up to ten players, including Simon Mignolet, Loris Karius, Divock Origi and Lazar Markovic, leave this summer, have apparently put a £20m asking price on Ings. Whether Saints would still be interested in the 26-year-old at that price remains to be seen, especially as he’s been plagued by injuries in recent seasons. Ings, who has one England cap to his name, only returned to full fitness midway through last season after two injury hit seasons, and as such, a £20m fee could be too rich for Southampton’s blood but if the Reds are willing to negotiate, Ings could certainly be a viable option for Mark Hughes.

Gent winger Moses Simon has confirmed that Liverpool are interested in signing him but revealed that there has been no concrete bid from the Reds so far this summer.

The 23-year-old was reported to be a possible target for the Reds last month and when asked by AOI Football about Liverpool’s interest in him, the Nigerian star admitted that there was substance to the report but hinted that there had been no bid made.

He said:

“Well, for now, I’m still a player of KAA Gent; obviously, there was interest from Liverpool but nothing is concrete for now.”

The 23-year-old has scored 21 goals in 136 games for Gent and would likely have been included in Nigeria’s World Cup squad had he not been injured.

Agent confirms defender has offers from both Everton and Liverpool .
Everton have made an offer to sign Domagoj Vida from Besiktas this summer, according to his agent. Liverpool have already rubbished reports linking them with a move for the 29-year-old earlier in the week, but Avadan is adamant that both Merseyside clubs have put offers on the table. As reported by SB Nation, Ugur Avadan said: “Liverpool and Everton are huge clubs that have made offers. Barcelona scouted Vida and had him on their shortlist but I do not see a move there happening. Atletico Madrid and Sevilla are also interested from Spain.” Vida was one of the stars of Croatia’s run to the World Cup final and alongside Liverpool’s Dejan Lovren, he helped the Croats form a solid defensive base, allowing their more creative players to flourish. Besiktas are now hoping to cash in on the player following his impressive performances in Russia. Everton are in the market for a central defender this summer and have also been heavily linked with a move for Barcelona’s Yerry Mina.
