Chelsea turn down £50m bid for Willian from Barcelona

Chelsea turn down £50m bid for Willian from Barcelona Chelsea have reportedly turned a bid in excess of £50 million from Barcelona for Brazilian winger Willian. The Daily Mail claims that the player’s agent and representatives have been in Barcelona amid speculation about his future at Stamford Bridge. The Catalan side are hoping to add to their attack this summer and see Willian as a valuable transfer target. The player has been heavily linked with a move away from Chelsea after falling out of favour during the second half of last season. Chelsea have been braced for interest in the Brazilian, with Manchester United reportedly considering a summer move. Ex-Blues boss Jose Mourinho has never failed to hide his admiration for the player and is expected to try and lure him to Old Trafford. The report claims that United could outbid Barcelona with a higher fee, but that leaves Chelsea with the prospect of selling yet another first-team player to a direct domestic rival. With Willian due to turn 30 in the coming months, the Blues could consider a summer sale with the amount of money being offered.

Barcelona have launched a second bid of £60million for Chelsea winger Willian . Sportsmail revealed last month that Chelsea had rejected a £50million offer. Ernesto Valverde has returned with an improved figure to test Chelsea's resolve.

Last week, SSN broke the news of Barcelona 's initial £50m bid for the Brazilian, with talks still ongoing between the two clubs and representatives of the player. Sky sources understand the La Liga champions first began efforts to lure Willian to the Nou Camp as long as three months ago.

Reports have suggested Chelsea would be willing to sell if they received a bid closer to £60 million.

It has been suggested that Maurizio Sarri would like to keep the player at the club next season.

The Brazilian had seen his future thrown into doubt after falling out of favour with Antonio Conte, who has recently been sacked by the club, according to reports.

Chelsea could land Yerry Mina in the deal to take Willian to Barcelona

Chelsea could land Yerry Mina in the deal to take Willian to Barcelona Yerry Mina is the latest player to be linked with a move to Chelsea as part of the deal to take Willian to Barcelona. Mundo Deportivo report that the Catalan side could offer a player in return as they are currently unwilling to pay the £70 million that Chelsea asking for. A host of players, including Andre Gomes, Rafinha and Paulinho have been touted as possible targets for the Blues as Barcelona attempt to sweeten the deal. Paulinho, who only joined Barcelona last summer, is also represented by Kia Joorabchian, the influential agent who is manufacturing a potential move to La Liga for Willian. Joorabchian is said to be flying into London to hold talks over a potential transfer. Mina has been one of the standout defensive performers at the World Cup in Russia. He scored a late goal to take Colombia’s meeting with England into extra-time, but it was not enough to help see them through. The Colombian defender is being tipped to leave Barcelona this summer after failing to impress there. Barcelona are also exploring options that would see Willian pay some of the transfer fee, something that Paulinho did last summer. With the Brazilian keen not to miss out on the chance to join the La Liga champions, this could turn out to be a feasible option.

Barcelona are expected to tempt Chelsea’s resolve with a second bid for Willian , according to a report from the Daily Mail. The La Liga Champions’ first bid in the region of £50 million was rejected with the Premier League looking for something in the region of £70 million.

Barcelona turned to Malcom over Willian as Chelsea rejected Gomes deal .
Barcelona were forced to turn their attention to Malcom, rather than Willian when Chelsea turned down a cash and player offer, including Andre Gomes. Mundo Deportivo reports that Barcelona were keen to snap up the Brazilian from Chelsea this summer and even offered the Portuguese midfielder in return. Chelsea rejected the offer and Willian now looks set to stay at Stamford Bridge, despite appearing keen to make the move happen. The Blues were believed to be open to selling the player to Barcelona, with Manchester United also interested. The club were said to be holding out for as much as £70 million from Barcelona. Malcom looked set to join Roma, but Barcelona swooped in at the last minute to hijack a deal. Barcelona have been looking to offload Gomes this summer in an attempt to trim their wage bill, with both Arsenal and Spurs also named as potential destinations for the midfielder.
