Valencia set to make £27m move for Divock Origi

Valencia set to make £27m move for Divock Origi Valencia are set to make a £27m bid for Liverpool striker Divock Origi, according to a report from John Percy of The Telegraph. Origi is set to leave Anfield this summer after being told that he is behind Roberto Firmino, Daniel Sturridge, Dominic Solanke and Rhian Brewster in the pecking order. Liverpool, who are willing to let up to ten players, including Simon Mignolet, Loris Karius, Danny Ings and Lazar Markovic, leave this summer, wwill likely gladly accept the £27m offer for the Belgian as Jurgen Klopp looks to trim his squad. At one point in his Liverpool career, Origi was Klopp’s first-choice centre-forward but after his injury, thanks to a horror tackle from then Everton defender Ramiro Funes Mori in a Merseyside derby, he’s never really been able to recapture his form. Origi has struggled in pre-season and as such, it’s almost certain that he’ll be heading out of the club at some point this summer.

The Belgian fell out of favour at Anfield in the 2016-17 season, and was sent on loan by manager Jürgen Klopp to Wolfsburg for the entire 2017-18 campaign. Making 34 appearances for the Bundesliga outfit, Origi returned a slightly disappointing six goals for his efforts. With Liverpool unlikely to grant the Ostend-native much game time in the upcoming season, Newcastle are reportedly seeking to swoop for the fringe player. Be that swoop a permanent move or a loan move, the addition of Origi would represent a diversifying of the Magpies’ attacking options. The former Lille product stands to be a more physical presence in the Newcastle lineup than Dwight Gayle and Ayoze Perez, with Aleksandar Mitrovic expected to make his move to Fulham permanent in the coming weeks.

Origi says his move to Wolfsburg was a 'good choice', but he still plans to return to Liverpool. We'll discuss behind closed doors what the reason for (his display) was. This was not a good match from Divock , you need to make that clear.

New Gunners boss Unai Emery seemingly failed to give Wilshere enough of an indication that the midfielder was in his plans going forward, so the 26-year-old decided to look for a new challenge. Having missed out on selection for England’s World Cup squad, Wilshere will be keen to impress Gareth Southgate whilst he’s in Turkey and hopefully get himself back into international contention. According to reports, Wilshere flew into Turkey on the same jet as new Fenerbahce manager Philip Cocu, who has signed a three-year contract with his new club.
