Chelsea target Alisson to replace Courtois

Chelsea target Alisson to replace Courtois Chelsea are preparing an offer for Roma goalkeeper Alisson as they anticipate losing Thibaut Courtois to Real Madrid this summer. Brazil’s first-choice ‘keeper and Roma’s star man last season Alisson has attracted a number of prospective buyers this summer, with Liverpool and Real Madrid the two to most heavily be linked with a move. Madrid have been linked with a move for Courtois before he was even established as Chelsea’s first-choice between the sticks, and according to MailOnline, they are turning their attention back to the big Belgian. Courtois has just one year remaining on his current deal with the Stamford Bridge club, and he has made no secret that he would be open to a move back to Spain to be with his young family. Speaking to Belgian media, Courtois said: “I have a certain preference, I already have ideas in my head, but I have moved everything until after the World Cup.” “My children are the most important thing for me: I now have one and a half years less contact with Chelsea, FaceTime is beautiful, but seeing them grow up is something else, so my children will play an important role in my decision.” Chelsea would demand around £50million for Courtois, which would become a British record fee for a goalkeeper. Chelsea have made enquiries for Stoke’s Jack Butland to replace the Belgian, but now they believe Alisson is a realistic target, they’re stepping up their interest.

Real Madrid are likely to concentrate efforts on Chelsea keeper Thibaut Courtois . Paris Saint Germain also have an interest in the Belgium international goalkeeper, but Courtois has family in Madrid which is an added attraction.

Real Madrid are still interested in signing Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois according to reports, with the Blues valuing their player at €50million (£44.1million).

That is according to El Confidencial, as cited by Calciomercato, who claim that it will not be as difficult a financial situation for the clubs to overcome as previously reported.

This seems extremely unlikely, with Courtois one of the brightest stars at the Blues’ disposal.

At just 26-years old, Courtois has his best years ahead of him, and Chelsea are unlikely to sell for a price so low that they couldn’t appropriately replace the Belgian with.

Courtois to decide on his Chelsea future after the World Cup

Courtois to decide on his Chelsea future after the World Cup Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois will not make a decision about his future until after the World Cup, according to the Daily Mail. Speaking to reporters after Belgium’s dramatic 3-2 victory over Japan, Courtois provided an update on his future. “I love living in London. Madrid and London are great. The only thing is that my children live in Madrid. I would like them to be close. That doesn’t mean I’m going to come back, but for me they are very important and I’m going to do something to see them more.” “I’m not going to talk about that now. I just said that I’ll see everything after the World Cup. The most important thing is my children and I’ll decide what’s best for me in everything.” The Chelsea shot-stopper caught the headlines last week when he confirmed he had a preference over his next move. Courtois has often talked up a move back to Spain for family reasons and it looks like he could be on the move this summer. It has been well documented that Courtois’ children are based in Spain and he would prefer to be closer to them on a regular basis. Chelsea risk losing him for nothing or at a cut-price in January if they do not sell in the summer, with Courtois out of contract at the end of next season. The Blues have already been linked with both Alisson and Kasper Schmeichel as possible replacements for the Belgian international.

Thibaut Courtois ' agent has said he has held regular meetings with Real Madrid directors at which they "evaluate" the Chelsea goalkeeper's situation. Madrid are reported to be keen to add a goalkeeper in the summer and Courtois

Reports have suggested Chelsea consider Roma goalkeeper Alisson their ideal replacement for the Belgium international goalkeeper, and with Liverpool having backed out of the race, they sit in prime position.

If they were to sell Courtois for the reported fee, they would nee to reinvest that money and then some to land the Brazilian, with the Selecao man valued at around £70million.
