West Ham make Gomes approach

West Ham make Gomes approach West Ham have reportedly approached Barcelona over a deal to sign Andre Gomes this summer. ESports3 reports that the Hammers have enquired about a deal to sign the Portuguese international, who has also been linked with Arsenal and Tottenham this summer. The two clubs are said to be in discussions over a transfer fee for the central midfielder. The player has suffered a hamstring injury during Barcelona’s pre-season preparations, but that has not put the London club off a deal. Gomes is widely expected to leave the Nou Camp this summer after falling out of favour. He has been unable to cement a place in their starting XI after joining from Valencia. The La Liga champions are looking to trim both their squad and their wage bill this summer. The likes of Yerry Mina, Paco Alcacer, Rafinha and Aleix Vidal are also believed to be on the market.

According to the London Evening Standard, the Hammers had been hoping to beat the Premier League new boys to his signature, but he opted for Craven Cottage in the final hours of the transfer window.

Anguissa’s move to Fulham was one of the biggest deals on transfer deadline day, with Slavisa Jokanovic’s men sealing a £30 million deal for the player.

Everton complete deals for Mina and Gomes

Everton complete deals for Mina and Gomes Everton have completed the signing of Yerry Mina and Andre Gomes from Barcelona, according to The Mirror. The report claims that Mina and Gomes have both completed medicals for the club and will be officially confirmed as Everton players shortly. Mina will join Everton on a permanent deal for a fee in the region of £27m, having attracted interest from Manchester United and Lyon earlier in the window. Andre Gomes, meanwhile, will sign on a season-long loan – with Everton paying a loan fee of £2m for the Portuguese international midfielder. West Ham and Arsenal were touted with interest in Gomes up until he suffered an injury in pre-season for Barcelona. However, that has not deterred Everton, who have now secured his signature. Everton are also looking to tie up a deal to sign Kurt Zouma on a season-long loan from Chelsea after they agreed a deal with their Premier League rivals.

Andre Frank Zambo Anguissa has agreed to join Fulham for £30million. Marseille finalised a deal with the Cottagers on Deadline Day, and the midfielder becomes the newly-promoted side's eighth signing of the transfer window, and is set to put pen to paper on a four-year deal .

West Ham themselves were very busy on the final day of the transfer window, signing Lucas Perez and Carlos Sanchez from Arsenal and Fiorentina respectively.

The arrivals of the aforementioned Sanchez and Jack Wilshere, who also joined from Arsenal earlier in the window mean that Manuel Pellegrini has added depth to his midfield options this season.

Marseille interested in a deal for Mohamed Elneny .
Arsenal midfielder has emerged as a target for Ligue 1 giants Marseille, according to recent reports from France. The Gunners’ strength in depth in the midfield options appears to have pushed Elneny down the pecking order, indicating that his future could lie away from the Emirates. Arsenal completed the signing of two defensively-minded midfielders in the summer transfer window, with Matteo Guendouzi joining from Lorient and Lucas Torreira arriving from Sampdoria. Both players appear to be ahead of Elneny in Unai Emery’s plans for the midfield in his first season at the club, with the Egyptian international’s future having since come under scrutiny. Marseille are keen to recruit a new holding midfielder before the end of the month, following Fulham’s big-money move to sign André-Frank Zambo Anguissa. It’s reported that Elneny could be available on a loan deal as, despite penning a new contract at Arsenal back in March, regular first-team football under Emery appears to be uncertain.
