West Brom interested in loan swoop for Ola Aina

West Brom interested in loan swoop for Ola Aina West Brom are hoping to sign Chelsea defender Ola Aina on loan this summer, according to Pete O’Rourke. Writing on the Football Insider, O’Rourke claims that the Baggies want to bring in Aina temporarily after a deal to sign Tom James from Yeovil fell through. Darren Moore’s men had been hoping to sign James this summer, but there have been contrasting reports as to why the deal failed to materialise, with some suggestions he failed a medical at the club. Aina does not feature in Maurizio Sarri’s plans at Stamford Bridge this season and is set to be loaned out once again this summer. The Nigerian defender spent last season on loan at Hull City, where he impressed and was a mainstay in their team, despite their battle against relegation. Moore has already been very active in the loan market, with Harvey Barnes joining from Leicester and Manchester City’s Tosin Adarabioyo linked with a move.

West Bromwich Albion and Derby County are set to battle Torino to land Chelsea starlet Ola Aina on loan, according to Gazzetta dello Sport. The Serie A side are reportedly well aware of the 21-year-old’s potential and hope to sign him for the new campaign.

Temitayo Olufisayo Olaoluwa " Ola " Aina (born 8 October 1996) is a professional footballer who plays as a right back for Premier League club Chelsea.

Chelsea defender Ola Aina is set to sign for Italian side Torino on loan, turning down interest from England.

Gianluca Di Marzio reports that the Italian side have won the race to sign the Nigeria international.

Torino have been watching the player for a number of weeks now, but faced competition from both West Brom and Derby County.

The report claims that the deal could be made official in the coming hours, with the European window still open.

Torino consider loan swoop for Ola Aina

Torino consider loan swoop for Ola Aina Torino are ready to rival West Brom over a deal to sign Ola Aina on loan from Chelsea this summer. Gianluca Di Marzio reports that the Chelsea youngster has emerged as a transfer target for the Italians, as they also consider a move for West Brom’s Kieran Gibbs. Torino are in the market for a full-back and have their sights set on England as they pursue a couple of targets. Gibbs has been heavily linked with a move to Italy, but Torino may see Aina as the cheaper alternative. The Italian outfit are said to be impressed by Aina’s versatility, with the defender able to play across the back four. Aina is set for another loan move this summer after an impressive season on loan at Hull. Despite the Tigers’ relegation worries over the course of last season, Aina was a regular in their defence and got valuable game time under his belt.

Liverpool reject Torino's bid for Marko Grujic .
Liverpool have rejected Torino’s approach for Marko Grujic. The Italians wanted to take the midfielder on loan for the season, with an option to buy him for €10m at the end of the season, but the Reds have rejected that offer. The Serbian international spent the second part of last season on loan at Cardiff City, but he apparently rejected the chance to rejoin Neil Warnock’s side for the full 2018/19 campaign. Torino wanted to take the 22-year-old for the entire campaign before having the chance to sign him on a permanent deal for €10m, but Liverpool will not allow that to happen. It still remains likely that the midfielder will be loaned out to a foreign club before the end of August but Liverpool will only want any sell-on clause to reflect what they believe he is worth, which is more than the €10m which Torino were prepared to offer.
