Danny Welbeck will not be leaving Arsenal to secure a move to a foreign club, Unai Emery has confirmed.

The summer transfer window slammed shut on Thursday night for Premier League clubs, but teams from abroad are still able to complete the acquisitions of players from English sides should they choose to sell.

Welbeck was one of several Arsenal players who had been touted for an exit from the Emirates this summer, with the likes of Southampton, Everton and Bournemouth having been linked with respective swoops.

However, no move eventually came to fruition, meaning that Welbeck will be playing his football in North London, instead of elsewhere in the Premier League.

Gunners ready to cash in on Welbeck

Gunners ready to cash in on Welbeck Arsenal are said to be ready to cash in on Danny Welbeck to provide Unai Emery with extra funds as Bournemouth, Everton and Southampton all consider moves for the player. According to the London Evening Standard, all three clubs are interested in the player, with regular game time not guaranteed at the Emirates. The report claims that new boss Unai Emery has spoken to the player, with the option of staying at the club not being ruled out at this stage. Unai Emery has said that Arsenal will not consider selling Danny Welbeck this summer , although Carl Jenkinson, David Ospina and Joel Campbell have all been informed that they are surplus to requirements.

Nevertheless, a move to another club in Europe had remained a genuine possibility for Welbeck, whose first-team chances at Arsenal look slim next season.

Arsenal boss Emery has refuted claims that Welbeck will leave, though, insisting that he is going nowhere between now and the end of August.

As quoted by BBC Sport, the Spaniard delivered an update on some members of the Arsenal squad’s future, earmarking them for exits before the European window closes.

Welbeck, though, was not one of the mentioned names, with his future likely to be with the Gunners for the foreseeable future.

“We only have three players – Carl Jenkinson, David Ospina and Joel Campbell, with the possibility to leave.”

Galatasaray reportedly enquire over Danny Welbeck deal .
Arsenal striker Danny Welbeck is wanted by Galatasaray, according to recent reports. The forward is believed to have emerged as a target for the Turkish giants, who are understood to be keen on adding further quality to their attacking options this summer. Welbeck has fallen down the pecking order at Arsenal since the turn of the year following Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s arrival at the Emirates, with first-team opportunities limited. Nevertheless, Gunners boss Unai Emery said only this month that Welbeck is not among the players who would be allowed to leave Arsenal for a foreign club before the window closes abroad. Galatasaray have reportedly enquired over a deal for Welbeck, who was a part of the England squad that finished in fourth place at this summer’s World Cup in Russia. However, it seems Arsenal are reluctant to let the former Manchester United man leave, with Emery keen to continue assessing the options that are currently at his disposal.
