Leeds United in 'advanced talks' to sign Izzy Brown on loan

Leeds United in 'advanced talks' to sign Izzy Brown on loan Izzy Brown has already had four loan spells away from Chelsea and it looks like a fifth could be on the cards as Leeds United are in advanced talks to sign the 21-year-old, as per Sky Sports. Brown, who can play as a striker, a winger or attacking midfielder, would provide Leeds with depth and allow them to rotate during the long slog of a Championship season. Leeds have already taken both Jamal Blackman and Lewis Baker on loan from Chelsea, but EFL rules allow them to take up to four players from one club, so they can still take Brown if all parties can agree to a move. Brown was sent on loan to Brighton last summer but he suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury in January and subsequently missed the rest of the season, so he’ll be keen to get back playing as soon as possible.

Brendan Rodgers has talked up the chances of both Scott Brown and James Forrest signing new deals at the club. The Scotsman have quoted the Hoops boss as saying the deals are close with both players.

“Scott has made it clear he wants to be here and I am sure there will be a deal done pretty soon on that.
He is quite relaxed about it. He knows what we think of him here at the club so hopefully that will be done.”

“James and his people will be speaking with the club and, likewise, a player we would love to extend here because he has been absolutely brilliant in my time here.”

Brown’s new deal has dominated the headlines recently, with dominant midfielder making his feelings very clear about extending his stay at the club.

Forrest was one of the unsung heroes of the previous title-winning campaign with a number of impressive performances, helping the Hoops on their way.

The news will come as a huge boost to the club as they prepare to take on St Mirren in a bid to close the gap between themselves and Hearts on Friday night.

Forrest agrees terms to new Celtic deal .
Celtic winger James Forrest appears to have finally agreed a new deal to extend his stay at the club. Football Insider report that Forrest has agreed a new four-year deal with the Hoops. The winger has been expected to sign a new deal imminently, with Rodgers confirming the player was keen to put pen to paper. The club have been keen to get a deal over the line, with the winger out of contract at the end of the season. However, this new deal will see him through until 2020, with an official announcement from the club expected in the coming days. Forrest has been a regular for Brendan Rodgers and played a key role in their treble-winning campaign last time around. The news will come as a huge boost to the club, who had little to cheer about this season, with the club enduring their worst domestic start for 20 years.
