Emery keen to see Arsenal play with 'personality' at Newcastle

Emery keen to see Arsenal play with 'personality' at Newcastle Arsenal manager Unai Emery is desperate to see his side play with “personality” when they make the long trip up to Newcastle United on Saturday. Emery, as quoted by the Daily Mail, spoke to the media ahead of his side’s clash against Rafa Benitez’s men and was quick to highlight what is required from his team at St James’ Park. “Firstly we need to win and I think it is very important that in the last match we won. Our aim away at Newcastle on Saturday now is to keep improving things and continue to create our idea, build up our spirit on the pitch, individually and collectively.” Arsenal, after losing their opening two fixtures of the Premier League season, appear to have found their feet under Emery. The Gunners were able to put a difficult start behind them as they clinched a 3-1 home win against West Ham United before making the trip to Cardiff City, where they came out on top with a 3-2 victory. Emery, however, has called for focus from his men and has backed Arsenal to continue to impose their ‘personality’ on matches. “Saturday is another step we can do, it will be difficult but I want to continue (to show) our personality on the pitch and impose this personality on the opposition and to find the win.” Arsenal are currently sat in 9th place on the Premier League table and will be desperate to secure their third consecutive win in the top-flight against a struggling Newcastle side.

Arsenal will be looking to make it three wins from three when they travel to Newcastle on Saturday afternoon.

Unai Emery has been left with some decisions to make after the international break, with a number of players needing late fitness tests ahead of the game at St James’ Park.

Never the less, he’ll be hoping for a positive result as the Gunners continue to adapt and develop using his style.

We’ve predicted the team that the new Gunners boss will use on Saturday.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan a doubt for Everton game with ankle injury .
Arsenal could be without star forward Henrikh Mkhitaryan for Sunday’s clash with Everton as the Armenian picked up an ankle injury during the Gunners’ win over Vorskla on Thursday. The 29-year-old played the entire game as Arsenal ran out 4-2 winners thanks to goals from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Danny Welbeck and Mesut Ozil, but it appears as if he was battling with the injury near the end of the match. As reported by the official Arsenal website, Mkhitaryan has an issue with his right ankle and he is currently being assessed ahead of Sunday’s clash with the Toffees. Mkhitaryan has featured in all six of Arsenal’s games this season and whilst the Gunners do have cover for him, manager Unai Emery will be hoping that he is fit. Everton come into the game after a 3-1 home loss to West Ham, so they will be keen to make up for that poor result and as such, Arsenal will need to be at their best to get a win.
